JBL K2 S9900 vs Klipsch Heritage Jubilee Horn Speakers.
@james633 My beloved Revel Salon 2 speakers are just one of a plethora of absolutely wonderful speakers out there all over the place that I could be very happy with for a very long time and the Klipsch Jubilee is just one of them. Also, the bass ...
Cable upgrades
A safe bet.  All around Reference SQ.  Not insanely priced new=  Audioquest Pegasus XLR.  A hidden jewel!!! Phenomenal sound for the money, especially if you can find a pair used.
Interconnects
Audioquest Earth XLR would be excellent, very reasonably priced, amazing sounding, interconnects for your application.  And you not feel the need to ever upgrade from there.  Buy used and save to make it all that much sweeter.
Power cable Advice...
Audioquest Thunder and up the Audioquest line from there.  I have two different brands of PCs in my system (Audioquest and JPS Labs).  I have JPS Labs speaker cables and Audioquest interconnects.  They all work together to create pure magic.
Best power cord for Audioquest Niagara 1200
No brainer........Audioquest Thunder High Current!!!
What’s the best DAC < 6k (system specific)
I love my Hegel H590 integrated amp strictly as an amp/preamp.  I never even considered using the H590s internal DAC.  Sure, I thought the H590s internal DAC sounded lovely when I auditioned it, but I knew that I could do better with a higher-end ...
Revel Salon2s: Seeking Advice
@christianb5s4   I can't tell how wonderful it feels for me to have found the perfect speakers in my audio journey (Revel Salon 2 speakers).  Now, I can just layback with a sense of satisfaction and contentment, and enjoy them for years to come wi...
Hegel comparison
@bigtwin Your point is well taken. I’m sure that if there were no other options, I could live happily ever after with the H590s or the H600s internal DACs, because on their own merits, they do sounds quite outstanding. Heck, for years and years, w...
Hegel comparison
@bigtwin    No, I never used, nor did I ever intended on using the internal DAC of my H590.  I never us the internal DACs that come with any component.  I've invested in a great deal into a stand-alone, reference caliber DAC that I believe to be s...
Hegel comparison
I'm a Hegel H590 owner who just recently had an opportunity to have an extended listening session with the new H600 (I use a separate external DAC) .  I can tell you that based on just the amp/preamp sections of the two, I didn't hear a significan...
Borresen Loudspeakers
I believe that todays high-end speakers are grossly overpriced in general and especially Borresen's upper tier speakers.  Although I do believe that Borresen's entry level line of speakers do represent great value for the money.  Borresen does mak...
Revel Salon2s: Seeking Advice
Without question, the Revel Salon 2 speakers would be an upgrade over your Kanta 3 speakers, which I've had the opportunity to hear on a couple of occasions.  The Salon 2s are considered by many, including myself,  as an end-game, reference calibe...
vibration control - cd player
I've been using the extremely affordable, but extremely effective Vibrapod pucks and cones on all my components for over 15 years.  Really, no need to spend exorbitant amounts of money on isolation .  The Vibrapods will get the job done and at an ...
Neat "Tweaks" to improve the SQ of your streamed music!!!
As great as I though my dedicated streaming system was performing, somehow, I had this eerie, nagging feeling that something was still missing from the music. To my ears, I just wasn’t hearing quite the same level of that dreamy inner detail in th...
Amp — Leave on or turn off
I also like to power down all my components at the end of the day, just before bedtime.  Well, not exactly.  All my components are plugged into a power conditioner, so when I turn them off, they are actually still on, but in stand-by mode, which p...
