| Best dac under $2500 - comparing build quality and technologies While not specifically a DAC, the Cambridge Audio 851n is awesome, and only blemished by a shifty app. Streamer by category, is has several inputs and balanced/ RCA outputs. Preamp function is built in, but can be disabled. | |
| Looking for an amp that punches way about its weight and I can grow with Sub $3,000, a pair of PS Audio M700 monosi evaluated the S300 and after burnin, found it too bright. | Power conditioner types @jchiappinelliGood correction:Farads, millifarads, microfarads. A Farad is quite a large amount of energy storage capacity. For example, my current power amp has 108,000 uF, or 108 Farads. A lot of storage and smoothing for a D.C. power supply. | |

| Deja Vu all over again Listening now on Deezer, pretty decent stuff. Deezer seems to default to HQ which is by their definition CD-quality.However they have no control over the original mastering and I am enjoying the album but it’s not a super deal. | |
