Does your "esoteric" taste in audio also exist in other "things" you own/consume?
Thanks for the thoughts on wine.  Much of the world of great audio is quite similar to the best wines.  And like much of high end audio......very small companies.

Yes, a loyal dog is always a good choice.....my cat is a bit too much into "techno" for my taste.

  sfar,  I also had the Dynaco model you mention...with an early BSR turntable with a early Shure M44e and some decent two way Dynaco speakers...of course with heavy gage lamp cord wire.

  waytoomuchstuff, I bought my Mother one of the great KLH compact systems that she used the balance of her life.    
Are CD lens cleaners (disks) B.S. or effective?

jjss49  You are correct.  I had been on here from near the start and did a deal with an abusive parasite (non-payment,etc.) and stayed away for some time and started again with a new user name...as per the suggestion of a lady at AudiogoN.

a car stereo shop will want to sell what they carry, which is understandable.  Asking questions here is part of what this site is about, music/audio enthusiasts sharing experience....this has been part of this site since Arne started it.

yogi,  Thank you for sharing.  When we can trust to share, there is much good to be gained/learned.  My sons generation seems to be a bit devoid of the feeling of community and sharing.
