Do high end manufacturers need retail outlets?
If you’re buying Macintosh B&w, marantz, Sony the new dealer is a good thing. The whole issue here is the exceptionally over priced high end audio gear that exists which is not widely available. Most people buy on faith having never heard it....
DH labs versus audio quest, HDMI
Why no one really talks about noise dissipation and directionality benefits is unclear. Seems resolution is provided by most of these high-end cables.  The real issue of concern is how well sound is impacted by the cables. It all comes down to n...
DH labs versus audio quest, HDMI
The dh labs silver sonic HDMI cable at 1 m is about Half the price of audio quest carbon a HDMI for 219. Or is silver sonic comparable to the audio quest cable which I believe is cinnamon for about half the price? Very strange audio quest only o...
Do high end manufacturers need retail outlets?
Installers of home theater system's or horribly insensitive to sonic quality.  The components to use tend to be second rate.  But they may offer a pretty appearance at the end of it all.  Always wondered why people invest so much money in a home t...
Is the Apple TV power cord worth upgrading? HDMI, Ethernet?
What about ethernet cable’s? Seems as long as they’re well insulated that’s all you really need to do. I use cat 5 Ethernet it works fine on my 4K TV. I will try cat 7 to see if it improves the sound. I think the biggest change was upgrading to N...
Power regeneration - good idea? PS audio?
It would seem the existence of large capacitors inside an amplifier would mitigate the impact of a voltage decline temporarily. A Macintosh amp is loaded with capacitors so I don't see any problem with voltage changes
Power regeneration - good idea? PS audio?
And today through the snow falling I saw a monkey fly, upside down.
Power regeneration - good idea? PS audio?
Is there that much of a difference between 117 V and 121 V coming through your system? That's about what my variation is throughout the day
Power regeneration - good idea? PS audio?
Atmasphere, I am referring to the regenerator from PS audio not a power conditioner. Your reference to me being false is not accurate. If you have a stable voltage from your outlet you don’t need a source of addl power offered by the PS audio 15....
What power cord do you use for your processor?
Did the use of a better power cable help the sound coming out of the processor?   seems this would be a good place to put a power cord due to the noise generated from within the processor
Power regeneration - good idea? PS audio?
Atmaspere, Thanks for all your great comments Relating to power storage within an amp if you’re voltage coming out of the outlet remain stable, even on very hot days, then I think the only concern is spikes in Power needs to handle Sonic changes...
Power regeneration - good idea? PS audio?
The P 15 at about 80 pounds is a beast. Add it to mono blocks, it's just too much real estate inside the room.  So I will revisit putting in a dedicated circuit.
Power regeneration - good idea? PS audio?
Well this is all profoundly sad. Unfortunately there appears to be no good rationale for spending $7500 for a P 15. Was really hoping it might help my home theater sound since the processors being made these days are of poor quality sonically. A...
Power regeneration - good idea? PS audio?
Wouldn’t installing a simple Greenwave filter solve a lot of the issues?? Was thinking about buying a Greenwave EMI meter which might be interesting. If I can achieve a very very low reading than why bother getting a PS 15.   Also since the P ...
Power regeneration - good idea? PS audio?
you know I gotta believe all the wonderful power supplies that already exist inside a higher level component no doubt do a lot of what the PS audio regenerator does. So at the end of it all what is the point of this PS audio regenerator? Are all t...
