Your advice needed, speakers to buy $8K to $13K
Dynaudio Focus XD 20. No fuss no muss, excellent sound.
One Cord To Rule Them All
Based on the title subject of this thread, I'd suggest Nordost.
Dynaudio Xeo 20 vs KEF LS50 Wireless
Xeo 20 sound is decent, but two caveats. 1. The top end is way too muffled. Positive reviewers will call this "soft" or "warm", etc. No, it’s not that. it’s just missing. For people accustomed to better speakers or better headphones, one has to tr...
Which speakers did you find bright, fatiguing or just disappointing in some way?
A lot of Klipsch. Including all their new Bluetooth stuff like Sixes. And LS50 from KEF, completely overrated (Xeo 2 from the Danes is spectacular at that price range).
I nominate this company as building best speakers!
Would it be blasphemous to suggest I get this feeling from Dynaudio speakers all the time? I listen for hours. Many other “hifi” brands sound thin, or bright, or ultra bassy..  Focus XD 20 for me.
High end Class D amps?
Danish Lyngdorf TDAi3400 is right up there with Hegel 390 in my book. Of course the former is class D. Their room perfect is actually quite stunning and it has Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and Roon. Absolutely perfect device for folks who still ...
If you stream music from the internet, I can't recommend this more highly
I have a Mac Mini that connects to a Schitt Modius DAC which by RCA connects to my speakers. Will these cables being discussed here help? Will they produce a noticeable sonic difference?
Looking to buy a quality integrated $10,000 budget.
Why not demo Genelec 8351B and be done with it?
Honest Amp Reviews: Impossible?
@madavid0  I have tested Genelec 8341A active speakers. They use class D amps. My old system was Dynaudio contours powered by Hegel H190 which I gave up to downsize. The Genelecs would be hard to best even by speakers ten times their price.
New game with active speakers
Nothing of much value to add here but I’ll say this — living in urban apartments all the cabling has to go. In seeking simple but high quality setups I’ve been through KEF LS50W (least impressive to my ear)... Edifier S3000 Pro (quite surprising i...
What are you streaming tonight?
@uberwaltz you don’t need a separate program for that. Spotify allows you to save certain playlists offline. The limit is not infinite but it’s fairly high. I have about 20,000 of my favourite songs on my phone in high resolution (320 kbps) which ...
The NAD M33 will cancel your complaints about Class D
Genelec 8351B uses Class D amps. Sounds more than good enough to me. Those speakers are harder to beat at 10 times the price.
What sends shivers down your spine when you play it on your system?
Malia and Boris Blank collaboration on the album “Convergence”. One of my reference albums to test sound.. many songs that would fit the bill. Celestial Echo for example..
Buchardt A500, KEF LS50 Wireless, etc. What are your top 3 downsides?
Might be blasphemous to mention in these parts, but Edifier S2000 MKIII comes darn close to LS50W at a fraction of the price, in fact sounds a bit more open if EQed properly and connected wired via a proper interface (which I'd do with LS50W anywa...
What sends shivers down your spine when you play it on your system?
@nitewulf  James Blake "Limit to your Love" is on most audiophile testing lists. Great song especially in its bass line. Nicolar Jaar has a few good tunes too, not quite al album-wide person for me though.
