What % Of Your System Are Your Cables?
3-4% for me.  Speaker cables are DIY.
Adding tubes to integrated setup
Back in the day I had a Musical fidelity tube buffer.  If you can find one of those or similar. you can use it with your Yamaha inserting it in one of the tape loops.
Adding tube sound to my SS system
A few years ago I had a Musical Fidelity tube buffer stage that you could put between pre amp and amp or into a tape loop, etc.  I personally did not care for it, but it or something similar may be an easy easy and inexpensive way to add a little ...
Adjusting Infinity IRS servo controller
It may be possible to do this with a DMM.  Use DCV setting to adjust offset and ACV to adjust the gain.  Since you can only monitor gain or offset individually, it will be an iterative process.
Speaker Cable
Another vote for Mogami.
Adjusting Infinity IRS servo controller
I don't have any specific info on that Genesis servo, but based on my experience with the Infinity servo, I would suppose that one pot is gain and the other offset.  I adjusted mine for as close to zero dc bias as I could get and the the gain for ...
Adjusting Infinity IRS servo controller
I had the IRS Gammas.  Sold them back in 2010.  I did a fair amount of work on the my servo controller plus another one (anybody remember Bobby Shred?), but since I am retired now I no longer have access to an electronics lab.
Adjusting Infinity IRS servo controller
If memory serves, I adjusted mine for unity gain.  After I noticed that I needed to continue to make adjustments, I started keeping a log book to track it.  Maybe I can find it, but I threw out a lot paper before my last move, so we'll see.
Adjusting Infinity IRS servo controller
I suppose it is possible that I made a mistake, but I had to re-calibrate my servo on a regular basis.  Those were the pots that used.  If you have access to a scope, it would be easy to verify.  I'm pretty sure I gave the schematic to the new own...
Adjusting Infinity IRS servo controller
For some reason the picture did not post.  Anyone know how?
Pass Labs Speaker Choices
I currently have Pass INT-150 and Martin Logan Montis.  Like that pairing very much.
What are we objectivists missing?
Well, this did not go in the direction I had intended, but I suppose I should not be surprised.  I guess the take away for me is "We don't know what we don't know". Thanks anyway.
What are we objectivists missing?
Not protesting  or judging at all, just wondering if anyone has any speculation as to what measurements are missing. Now talk about snarky: I just completed the work on a device that measures sound quality. I call it the SQascope. Send me your m...
What are we objectivists missing?
Erik, "The problem I have with this argument is that it believes our existing, common measurements are all that could tell us anything about sound. I do not believe this to be true, at all. Most of the measurements audiophiles are familiar with w...
What are we objectivists missing?
This wasn't meant to be a troll post.  I am completely serious. whipsaw: Very familiar with Nelson Pass and his take on this (I have a Pass Labs amplifier  in my system and have read a bunch of his stuff).  Even though he uses extensive listenin...
