Experience with Townshend Seismic Podiums on Concrete Floor (they're great)
@relayer101 I don't want to hijack hilde45's thread but I also have bottom ported speakers that according to the research I've done don't react well with the Townshend podiums.I've ordered Primacoustics platforms which are supposed to arrive Wedne...
Experience with Townshend Seismic Podiums on Concrete Floor (they're great)
After doing a lot of reading and video watching myself I think solutions from other companies are going to look virtually the same on an accelerometer but sound different from the listening position. One thing everyone seems to be in agreement on i...

Under my tower speakers -- Isoacoustics Gaia, other options?
@fleschler so you got through the video, lol?I have an old seismic sink also which is under an equally old Audiolab integrated that is used for TV duties. In my listening/living room the equipment is all on sand platforms, IsoAcoustics feet, and a ...

What @kota1 said.Gathering information and opinions is helpful, but trying and buying what you like best is the only way to know for sure.
Sennheiser HD 660 S vs HD650 vs HD6XX

Have you seen this video where three guys try the Townshends, Gaias, and Prime Acoustic platforms? It's very long but informative as they try different configurations. The floor is concrete with wood overlay.
room size question.
I've got a square room too, slightly larger at 16 x 16 1/2 and 8 ft. ceiling. I have room treatments and three subs. The sound stage is wall to wall with very little layering. But if I sit on the floor the stage seems to move back beyond the walls to...
The problem with absorption panels- it kills the fine details
I'm stuck with a 16 x 16 1/2 square room.So yes I need some of "that crap" on the walls.
Wilson to Tekton to ????
@bill_peloquin  think about some sort of cloth cover for your Moabs that fits in with your decor.I have the same type of dilemma after selling stand mounts and replacing them with floorstanders that look out of place. So I made a cover that hangs o...

Maybe instead of deleting discussions wherein some useful information might be contained, it would be better if the moderators would more strictly weed out such open posts in the first place.  The mods are volunteers that have actual lives outsid...
Are cables additive or subtractive?
I should also say this, I've wondered if sometimes a maker's mid-range cables weren't deliberately made to be darker?  Like I've felt that they make low and mid-range cables to demonstrate an obvious difference, but only because the high end cable...
