Need advice with clicking noise from my tube amp
I'm not sure if this will help, but I had a ss receiver years ago that made that same noise. It turned out to be a bad connection and a tiny spark was jumping across and ticking steadily as you've described.
Considering Zu Dirty Weekend over my current B&w 702s2
I'm a Zu owner also. You won't be "leveling down" it's a different presentation is all - a live sound with smoother highs. They play well with tubes too.I took a chance with a used pair a couple of years ago and am very happy with them.
Tube rolling newbie- how to choose NOS tubes

What to listen for?
Sometimes in order to achieve a natural and balanced presentation I have to give up some of the details I've heard and are aware are being masked now. Hyper detail often comes at the expense of overly harsh and analytical. But yeah,it is exciting ...

PS Audio S300 amplifier- tube preamplifier recommendation
I used to have an MZ2 then moved on to a Rogue RP1.I like both.I wanted a touch warmer sound and the Rogue has that without sacrificing detail even with the stock JJ tubes.I settled on RCA cleartops though for a bit more roundness. They're both fi...
Spikes on tower speakers
@dadork the subdudes are large enough to accommodate the outriggers? I've experimented with using two platforms to fit under my subs so the feet would all rest on top and it didn't work so well. Not enough weight to compress the foam properly. Thi...
Another anti vibration solution -Primacoustics
Further adventures in isolating my subs which are two HSUs and one SVS.Rather than DIY I ordered two brands of platforms(Auray and Vibeboss)  from Amazon, both with foam,MDF,and neoprene. The Auray oddly enough caused the music to have a horrible g...
Who Would You Spend A Day With - Pick Two
charles1dad,brownsfan,grannyring, and aberlyclark (who has my same speakers) Sorry for the extra picks, there's a few more too.I miss Al too :-(
Spikes on tower speakers
Wouldn't it make more sense to spike the speakers into something that dissipates the energy before it reaches the floor? If one insists on spikes why ignore the floor vibrations as if it doesn't matter?
Spikes on tower speakers
Another solution is to cut a length of 2 x4 into four blocks or even just two lengths for each speaker.Drill holes to set the spikes in then use your choice of feet or felt pads on the wood feet.Tall rubber feet for heavy appliances could also be ...
Experience with Townshend Seismic Podiums on Concrete Floor (they're great)
@mapman the subdudes worked for you? I looked at those but decided the thin foam layer would not be adequate for my 100 lb speakers. The Townshend outriggers were tempting also, but I'm happy with the Primacoustics now.

I've seen that video and wanted to share it on your other thread but I couldn't remember the company name to find it again. It is very interesting and inspired me to explore different options for my speakers and subs.

@rmdmoore I thought about granite slabs too,but if they didn't work out then what would I do with them? Maybe a grave marker;-)

Mine have adjustable feet on the old style wooden plinth with a cut out for the port.An option would be to remove it and fasten the feet directly on the speaker.I feel better having the extra stability.
