Any opinions on PS Audio Power Plants I use two UPC 200 on my amps connected into dedicated lines, sources connected to a Power Director 3.5 that is connected to a Power Plant P-500 that's connected to it's own dedicated line and the results are fantastic. In regards to the fan noise ...
PS Audio P500 Yes? -No? I had a p-600 that I used only for front end gear, it worked great. The p-600 never ran hot just warm to the touch. I recently sold the p-600 and in it's place added the p-500 as it's now placed on my equipment rack. The p-500 runs a bit warmer th...
Help me shorten my list... I think you need to narrow your choices as I think it would be impossible to pick from that large of a list.If one wanted to audition that many it would take some time and trying to remember what each sounded like would be next to impossible. Good...
What new gear will you be buying this year? 2006 will be devoted to buying music only, I too have spent the last few years changing components. Maybe the only thing I will need is more storage for LP and CD.

Philips E88CC SQ special quality Question??? Go over to Audio Asylum and look up joe's tube lore as there is a wealth of info. I have a pair and they are nice sounding tubes, not as good as my E188cc Amperexs but better than the Buggle boys or Mullards I have, so I guess someware in the midd...
Can I use ECC88 for my Sonic Frontiers Line 2? Yes, 6dj8/6922/ecc88/e188cc/7308 all will work in the sonic frontiers pre. I think the line 2 takes six and LV2 and V2 are most important positions.
Speaker swap or Amp,which impacts more???? In regards to your preamp, LV2 and V2 are the most important positions for tubes followed by LV1 and V1.

Speaker swap or Amp,which impacts more???? I think the speakers would be more of a impact than changing your preamp or amp, and don't rule out room treatments as mentioned above, It seems alot of people put this very far down on the priority list. Room treatments and dedicated lines has be...
