Charles loved both of your suggestions today! Parkers Mood and Fingerpaintings are both in my favorites now and its been an enjoyable relaxed Friday of listening. Delving more into Nicholas Payton now with Into the Blue.
Alternatives to Psvane KT-88's ?
People seem to like the Genalex Gold Lion KT-88's very much. I've never tried them, my amp uses EL34 tubes but I will say in my system the Gold Lion KT-77 crushed the Psvane EL34 tubes no contest at all. Not exactly apples to apples but hopefully ...

Vintage amps & power cords
I use high end power cords in my system and love how they improve the sound. My amp however has a captive old school cord and its an original custom job, I take perverse pleasure in the fact the pricetag was left on the plug, $.05 in bright orange...

Bluesound Node 2 vs. Auralic Aries Mini
@dogmcd Very good point on on computers/drives in the listening room, with the Mini I have my NAS in my office and my system in the living room streaming wirelessly with no issues at all. I would personally not want computers or drives in my liste...
Bluesound Node 2 vs. Auralic Aries Mini
I use the Aries Mini and stream from my Synology NAS wirelessly and it works perfectly. No dropouts and it can play any file I throw at it. It can stream Tidal, Quobuz, and WiMP. I believe the Node 2 does all the same things never owned one but th...
Tube Preamp Recommendations?
In your price range I would certainly look used to get more bang for your buck. This looks like a nice choice in your price range here:https://www.audiogon.com/listings/tube-joule-electra-la-100-mk-11-excellent-condition-2017-04-02-pre...No relati...
Random question/ thoughts about stuff for sale here
I agree with what's said above, I was once deeply in the grip of audiophilia nervosa and bought and sold lots of gear constantly changing just to try something new. Almost all of it great stuff that looking back I could have been happy with. I've ...
