Does anyone on AG truly care anymore about objectivity & sincerity of Magazine reviews?
+1 @bdp24 well said. and +1 @mitch2 very very weird.
Help me decide
If you like the sound you're getting now the 5.5 would be the obvious upgrade to your 2.5. Beyond that I have no advice not really an ARC fan but good luck.

Perhaps they really like that driver in their designs?
Your reaction to Herve Deletraz’s statement re: hi end and darTZeel
Nothing he says is really untrue though after reading that it's hard to say what his plans are. However I can't afford Dartzeel nor have I ever heard any so that's a moot point for me.

TALK Amplifier Tornado 2.1 ....A BUZZ Sound
Is the amp buzzing or is it coming through your speakers? Neither will hurt your speakers, if it's the amp it's the transformer buzzing likely some DC on the line. And through the speakers a ground loop perhaps.
Component matching expertise - how do you do it?
I spent 5-6 years doing trial by error buying used gear and then found a great local dealer and finally got the sound I was looking for. I say if you have a good dealer stick with them.
???YOUR Personal Favorite???Why???
I love my Audio Note AN-J/lx's on Sound Anchors stands. Compared them to the AN-K, various Proac and Harbeth speakers. Going on 5 years owning them and still in love.
??? How Much Would You Spend ???
Questions like this are about synergy not dollars which is why they are impossible to answer without knowing specific brands. So what are these speakers?
Relaxed/Analog sounding DAC for under $10k (used or new)
Since you mention Sw1x and Lampizator in your OP you may want to take a look at Audio Note Dacs. They are beautiful music making machines. unless you're totally into hi-rez which they don't really do worth checking out.
Magico speakers too clinical and fatiguing?
I've only heard Magico once at CAF, no idea what model, and wasn't expecting much. They were paired with an all CAT system their top monoblocks and I'd describe the sound I heard as rich and chocolatey. Weird and not at all what I expected I chalk...
Rogue Cronus Magnum III Shrieking.
This happened as the radio was playing? And tubes don't really "look blown" they start making noise and a high pitched whistle is in the realm of possible sounds. Did you power the amp off? Try listening to any other sources?
Electrocompaniet AW300M or AW800M versus McIntosh 1.25KW?
One thing to keep in mind if the sound is more in your face will you find it fatiguing? I've never heard Electrocompaniet described as fatiguing but also not as forward but perhaps that's just in comparison to Mac which is a laid back sound.
Integrated Tube Amp approx. $2,500
Not sure how comfortable you are with used gear but there are tons of good used tubed integrated in your price range.   https://www.usaudiomart.com/classifieds/55-tube-integrated-amplifiers/
Willsenton R35i Integrated Amp with EL34 tubes
The amp should be just fine idling for 4 hours won't hurt it. Not sure why the red light came on but if it's performing fine and continues to I wouldn't worry about it.
