| BAT VK 5i and tubes, how to chosse? George,I have found that the BAT preamps don't care for the 6DJ8s. I have tried the Bugle Boys and they were fine for about 10 minutes and then things got noisy. If your determined to roll some different tubes into the 5i I would recommend a 7308. | |

| Which integrated tube amp? There is a Scott 340 B receiver listed for $350.00 with a phono stage and tuner. I have one and for a forty year old component it continues to suprise me. If you decide you like tubes you can upgrade and sell the unit for what you paid for it. | |
