Repair Magnepan MG IIa vs new 1.7 or 0.7, etc
I sure love my 1.7s. Bought them in Nov. 2013 and they still amaze me every time I play an LP through them.I've been into audio for 44 years. I've listened to a lot of speakers, some of which I could never afford. The 1.7s give me most of what the...

Shelter 201 Cartridge: I just put it into my system Aug. 6 2016
The 201 was on the TAS list for best budget cart for 2015.And it's still there for the 2017 edition, and rightly so. When I'm in the mood for a run of Sinatra, Rod Stewart, Tony Bennett, Boz Scaggs, and other great renditions of the Great American...

best 'affordable' turntable with moving coil cart
Really glad to read that it worked out for you. Your experience has some similarities to mine. In 2007 I had gotten to the point where I was going to go all-in for HD digital or drop it for vinyl. At the time I didn't have a turntable, but I had a...
Best sounding turntable and cartridge for $1100
A smart upgrade would be a grey-market Shelter 201. I got one from these guys. Their delivery was very prompt and the item was well-packed and intact. At about $167 with free shipping, the price/performance is a no-brainer (and I have a Denon DL-1...

According to this website, the Jelco SA-370h doesn't have the same mount as the current 750 series. I've found plates for the 750 series but so far, not for the SA-370h.
