Dirty little secret of Pedigreed, decades old Speaker line - no one will address My post I wrote on 06-05-2024 at 09:23pm explains much of the first principles I'm concerned about & if read at all carefully in particular. I care about the audio industry & it's integrity that all sonic progress forward depends upon. Th...
Dirty little secret of Pedigreed, decades old Speaker line - no one will address SOIX that sounds like anger for its own sake. I never said Magico or Rockport used ceramic drivers. Please reread the sentence you quote . "&" means and (in addition to), not intrinsic to. Even if I needed writing lessons - focusing on the le...
Grimm MU1 Streamer - Really "The Best"? lalitk asked me what other servers I heard to come to the conclusion I did regarding Baetis. Every other one at the Toronto Audiofest show.
Dirty little secret of Pedigreed, decades old Speaker line - no one will address My apologies for not commenting earlier as I thought I would be getting emails that new comments were made & I didn’t. No personal axe to grind, just that some very promising technology is being left to rot on the vine. For no reason I can see...
Why so many ads It's clearly not necessary for ad revenue to do ads in this way as AG's competitors clearly show. They also have ads but not intrusive ones & never mixed in with users ads pretending to be the same until they're clicked on.
Why so many ads Switching to US Audiomart also works. It's as if AG is actually trying to drive people there. 1/2 the AG ads are also on USA anyways because its free &good insurance.
Stereophile review of the $30,000 tekton speakers "The mid array is a good idea in theory, i.e., the mid range covered by small "tweeter sized" drivers ---> associated IR ---> perceived increase in resolution/clarity/etc. But, in practice, it doesn’t blow other conventional speakers out of ...
Mcintosh MCD-12000 So I take it no one has listened to it and (meaningfully hopefully) commented on that aspect of it - first.?
How rare is an audiophile HiIFI+ last year said this: "The percentage of the population under the age of 42, but old enough to be interested in audio is 43%." Those older are considered more inclined towards audio. The increasing population growth results in, "in financial...
Grimm MU1 Streamer - Really "The Best"? I was at the Audiofest show In Toronto Canada a few months ago & by far & away the best sounding server, in at least 2 rooms, was the latest Baetis Reference series. It sounded like music in a way nothing else did. I did not run into Gri...
Speakers for a unique small room Someone needs to point out the obvious here. If you have $2500 to spend you really ought to be looking at speakers priced in the $5000 range that are now in your approximate price range, on AG & likely other competitive sites. There are numero...
What is your opinion of single driver speakers Sacrificing the frequency extremes with such ferocity (extraordinary determination if you like) is an acquired taste. At a minimum, but certainly an entirely different mind set then almost any norm. That’s fine of course, but some pretty complicat...
Pass labs upgrade path In regards to a point systembuilder (the OP) brought up & jetter responded to, the only way buyers & sellers are officially allowed to communicate directly is if the seller has paid 4% of their asking price upfront for a 30 day ad (Regardl...
What is the Best Sounding Stand Mount Speaker in the world? Hiding in plain sight is the often overlooked (but never under rated when heard) ESTELON XC DIAMOND. SOA drivers (ceramic & Diamond) in an equally SOA cabinet. Widely agreed to have transparency & balanced musical sound second to nothing e...
Power Cables and Wall Sockets Please ignore those offering the best theoretical advice they know - w/o having heard the difference a genuinely good power cable can make in a typically competent, electrical system. Upgrading the socket to at least a hospital grade outlet or a... |
