Turntable channel imbalance @leemaze How many DB are you talking about? 1, 2 or 3 DB in channel imbalance? Does your balance control correct the imbalance? Hopefully it’s not more than 2 DB. Please clarify for me, do you get an imbalance playing CD’s ? Difficult to analyze...
Turntable channel imbalance Greetings @leemaze Your TT has a fixed tracking force of 1.2 grams and the anti-skate is fixed to match the cartridge that came with the TT. The anti-skate is a fixed calibrated spring. It’s a plug and play TT. No adjustments. Joe Nies
active crossover recommendation @kenjit The OP asked for a recommendation for a analog active Xover 3-way. He didn’t ask for guidance on how to use one. If the OP asked for help on setting one up, I’m sure he would have gotten a lot of responses. Joe Nies
active crossover recommendation I just looked at Bryson’s website. They don’t seem to make Xover’s anymore? maybe look at JLaudio? There seems to be a lot of inexpensive ones out there. Joe Nies
active crossover recommendation Greetings I have been very happy with my Bryston 10B sub Xover. Has worked flawlessly for years. The 10B can do 3-way. I run mine in the stereo mode. Maybe give Bryston a look. Joe Nies
What causes Pops? Greetings If you’re talking about albums, the record needs cleaning, cartridge needs cleaning or some albums have defects. Is it on all records? Joe Nies
Gotham Quadratic Diffusers @christianb5s4 Contact GIK they can probably make the diffusers any size you want. They also offer free consultation. Joe Nies
Gotham Quadratic Diffusers @benzman Yes they will help. I suggest you put 2 under TV and 1 on each side of the TV. The one’s under the TV try leaving 6 to 12 inches between them. I’m a firm believer in how helpful acoustic materials can improve a room. Joe Nies
Boxes I would say that original boxes or crates for a buyer.are very important. Boxes can be expensive, 200$ to 400$ is not unusual for factory shipping boxes. Some companies get upset if you have to return the equipment for service and not in original ...
Thought on Spectral Audio's future? Greetings I got into Spectral’s website yesterday. They seem to still be in business. They list contact information. The information I read seemed to be very positive about their company. I have had no need to contact them. I have had no issues...
Thought on Spectral Audio's future? @jayctoy I’m also using the MIT Z Center. Do you know what they are re-wiring? Are they re-wiring the internals of the Spectral amps and preamp? I live up in Alaska so I won’t be going to the Axpona. Your clarification of this re-wiring and fil...
Thought on Spectral Audio's future? @jayctoy I do have the Spectral, Avalon and MIT system. Never heard about power re-wiring or filters being used. Joe Nies
Thought on Spectral Audio's future? @roxy54 It mean nothing. It gets put in automatically when I type and I don’t catch it all the time. Joe Nies
How to access the midrange crossover on B&W D3 speakers You will need to remove the speaker from the enclosure. Pull the damping material out of the enclosure. That should give you access to the xover. I don’t own the D3 speakers but that what I did for my 801 D series speakers. Hope that helps. Bes... |
