"Audiophile" Power Cables: The Greatest Audio Conspiracy Theory of All Time?
there often seems to be the assumption that "cable people" are extremely gullible, do not know how to listen, don’t trust their own impressions, and want to spend money on impressive, useless cables and tweaks...I actually did some blind listening...
Bi-Wiring
I just removed stock jumpers from Totem Sky Towers and replaced with Discovery Essential Jumpers - quite surprised at how big the difference is..I've owned the Discovery's for years, so no buyer's bias...
PS Audio Direct Stream MK2 DAC
since hum is only from unit, and can't be heard from an inch away, I have no concerns
PS Audio Direct Stream MK2 DAC
reading this, I find I do hear a hum from some of my components if I literally have my ear touching, or a fraction of an inch away...nothing from one or two inches away

I’ve been told it’s not a good thing to keep your equipment right next to the wall...lots of electrical nasties in wall...and it forces you to unnaturally bend your cords...
Speaker Break-in
My Vandersteen 3's improved significantly after 150 hours of break-in, didn't listen in between...have bought very few new speakers, so no other recent experiences...
Bi-Wiring
Sonic benefits of true bi-wiring is endless debate here, often nasty...the extra binding posts are to ensure a good tight connection, should you choose to bi-wire with a double cable run...
"High end" store snobbery
PS Audio only sells manufacturer direct in USA...incredible trade in policy...they often work in conjunction with TMR I believe...the trade in can cover up to about 30% of price of new PS Audio gear you are buying...
