Best sounding Primare integrated amp up to $2000 I think the 1C will sound better with the I30, but don't believe those speakers can fully make use of that amp, so in my opinion not a cost effective upgrade. I prefer the I21 with a series 2 or 3 Vandersteen, than the 1C with a series 30 Primare....
Best sounding Primare integrated amp up to $2000 I agree that the 30 series is better and worth the cost, but only if you also upgrade from the 1C.
Best sounding Primare integrated amp up to $2000 The I21 is excellent. I wouldn't go any higher for the 1C.
Wadia 151 Break-In I feel the Wadia improved over a few weeks of almost constant use. I use it for desktop only, currently with Vienna Haydn Grands, and it sounds great. Room is about 10x12.

Amp to replace Audio Research D200 If you liked the D200 and don't plan on changing other components in your system, I like the idea of buying another D200 and sending it to ARC for new caps, general refurb. Otherwise there are many good amps in your price range.

Bi wiring with separate cables Many believe the only true bi-wire is to use separate cables, and to run them separated by at least a few inches.
Speaker cables Three very different sounds. I couldn't live with Cardas Cables (I tried once) at any price. I like the Harmonic but they're not for me. Not familiar enough with Nordost. These cables in my opinion all sound so different from each other, may be a ...
Internet Radio Headphone out is not the way to go. Not sure which docks work with your iPad or if internet radio is worth a DAC, but probably best to not use the headphone jack. The Pure I-20 is great for iPod and inexpensive, not sure if it works with iPad. |
