Marantz DV6600 Super Audio CD/DVD Player
I just sold two Sony DVP 9000ES units, for myself and a friend. Similar generation and very popular, both sold for a little over $100 each
Is it possible to be an audiophile and be happy with what you have
I don't agree with your premise Taters. I think you can be a music lover, but still enjoy improving your system. There's a big difference between enjoying what you have but enjoying making improvements, and being dissatisfied...
I was thinking the other day about all the audio stores that were around when I was a kid
there are still a few good stores there, but I haven't been in the others a long time.  But visiting Harry is always a treat...

I notice a lot of reviewers buy the sample piece
out of curiosity I did a quick random check, and noticed only a small percentage buying the reviewed equipment...
I notice a lot of reviewers buy the sample piece
reviewers also tend to only review equipment they have heard and liked. no one wants to listen for a few months to gear they do not like.
I notice a lot of reviewers buy the sample piece
not only is the purchase an endorsement, the item is then listed as part of the reviewer's reference system for a year, which is also great advertising...
What's up with the ridiculous offers?!?
not really an issue, just an annoyance and a reminder how much this site has changed...
I notice a lot of reviewers buy the sample piece
They often use that as the ultimate endorsement. I have read in many places that they get a great price, but there is a time limit before they can sell.
What's up with the ridiculous offers?!?
there does seem to be an increase in both super low offers, and sellers wanting 80% of list price on two year old items...
