Inexpensive turntable to play old records
I use a vintage Yamaha direct drive YP-D6 with a low cost Ortofon cartridge - it sounds great, and fun playing scratchy old records that way...played thru a refurbished Yamaha CR-400 Receiver, or surprisingly good  and tiny Schiit Mani 2 phono pre...

Curious how many here use the LRS+ in primary system or secondary system...they were in secondary for me...

Magnepan (Erik I believe) told me a few years ago that they like to see 350/wpc with the LRS+ ...but that my amp which does 150/8 ohms ands 250watts/4 ohms would be fine in my small room...I ended up using a Belles Aria 75/125 watts and it sounded...

streaming is great, but don’t get talked out of getting a nice CD Transport...they can be inexpensive, like the CXC, and lots of fun, with great sonics...and there are now also some real good CD/Streamer combos with good DAC’s built in...

The Cambridge CXC is an excellent budget choice (I have one) if you plan to use the DAC in your preamp...the CXC V1 and V2 are sonically identical, just different color and styling...

I think many here do like change for the sake of change...and it’s often for Different, not better or worse...doesn’t look anything like OCD...my main system changes little and slowly, but enjoy mixing up my secondary systems...
