Has anyone heard the Magico Mini? The C-1,though,also,a bit dark sounding(remember the room was totally surrounded with curtains)really impressed me.A superb two way design!Very dynamic, and a superb soundstage.Still,I cannot see anyone not loving the Mini demo,at the show.I stayed...
Has anyone heard the Magico Mini? Also, remember the Wilson WP-8 at HE 2007 was in a MUCH bigger room!!That can make or break the sound(not to mention the incredible Lamm 2.1 driving them). Also,at the back of the Wilson/Lamm room the WP's were WAY too bass heavy. No surprise from th...
Has anyone heard the Magico Mini? I liked the Watt Puppy 8s (and 7s even) over the Minis. The Minis were too bright and edgy sounding in the high frequencies for me. I would love to hear the Minis in a well treated room to see if it makes a large difference. You would think an aco...

You can also record all those alternate masters/remasters/remixes/out-of-prints/etc onto CD to archive them and remove pops, ticks, hiss, etc, if you like as well. Revel Salon 2 versus WP 8 I would love to do a comparison. I haven't heard the Salon 2 yet though. This thread doesn't seem like it could go anywhere positive though, considering the animosity many people feel towards Wilson speakers. I doubt you will get any real compariso...
How to flatten Vinyl Albums But the singularity is infinite and black holes can preserve information, although there is a sh*t load of jitter associated with itThe singularity may be infinite, but because it is not broken into discrete bits it is analog, thus it can't have j...
Grand Prix Monaco review in new Stereophile- OUCH BTW, I didn't realize Groovy is Fremer (I didn't read the thread until after I commented on the initial post). I wasn't intending to be antagonistic. I just feel with some devices subjective experiences are too open to change depending on many fac...
Grand Prix Monaco review in new Stereophile- OUCH I think people take these subjective reviews too seriously. Look at the "glowing" subjective review the same guy gave the Zanden Transport/DAC in Stereophile's November 2006 issue, and that thing measured terribly...

Pure Vinyl Software Save up for the Tascam DV-RA1000HD. Excellent device. It allows all kinds of formats (including DVD-A) up to 192KHz/24bit (also DSD format, which is not too useful for me). Burns directly to DVD or redbook CD standard. Allows you to USB the data t... |
