Speaker manufacturers or box manufacturers with off the shelf drivers? Scanspeak drivers are great, by the way. Not the totally off the wall high priced spread, but really good.
Speaker cable arrows??? Well if you do end up with any extra pills I will be happy to dispose of them for you, just as a favor of course.
Speaker cable arrows??? ^ Not only that, when I had one cable connected against the arrow and one connected with the arrow things got out of control. Started hearing secret messages in music that was recorded with the same mixed arrow directionality.
If I just use a DAC, do I need a Pre-amp? As mentioned above, the Schitt SYS passive preamp has analog input for two sources and cost $49 plus a few bucks shipping. I have one and like all Schitt products its a great little unit.
Speaker cable arrows??? The greatest mystery surrounding wire directionality has not been discussed on this forum. It is why all the posts made by the many of us who prefer our speaker cables inserted with the arrows pointing towards the amplifiers and our fuses inserted ...
Ferrofluid questions. masi61I am not very handy, and likely looked at the same you tube videos you did.In fact, I took my tweeters apart, cleaned them and reapplied the ferrofluid in my scanspeak tweeters. My tweeters were so much easier to disassemble than those in th...
Waht is the best streamer for the money under $2500 (no DAC or storage required). Everything I know about the unit is from the thread that I linked to. If nothing else someone thinking of buying an open box or refurbished unit has a heads up.A couple of people have said they bought them from TEAC’s ebay store as open box items....
Parasound P6 Volume control increments. I would be concerned that something was amiss if not much was happening until I had the volume control up 50%. If new, definitely inquire with Parasound. Hopefully someone with the same preamp will chime in here.
Waht is the best streamer for the money under $2500 (no DAC or storage required). The TEAC NT-505 maybe a great sounding unit, but several purchasers have found it unreliable due to defective units being sold. Recording during the 70's @slaw I find that people like the OP And you are whom, Charles Emerson Winchester III?
MSB Diamond DAC V It makes sense to listen to those above that have experience living with the MSB before anyone else who has not actually owned the units you are considering.
Non Analytical Sounding DAC Upgrade- Budget $1,500 or less Thanks Ralph
Non Analytical Sounding DAC Upgrade- Budget $1,500 or less @atmasphere I was just checking out the D-30 on eBay and the prices seem to vary a lot by seller. Do you mind mentioning which seller you used? Thanks
Review of TEAC NT-505 The Teac retails for $2,000, the Bluesound Node 2i for $550. one would expect the Teac to sound "better". The Node 2i is a solid performer with no quality control issues and a great OS.
What would you do if items from Ebay had beenlost? @ebm If your comment is to me I was obviously kidding, well I thought obviously. Lighten up! |
