Audio Refine Complete vs. Puccini SE int
I haven't auditioned the Puccini, but do own a Complete driving Martin Logan Aerius peakers in my office system. I'm very pleased with the sound, as many people have pointed out the Audio Refinement sound tends to be quite mellow and musical. Sham...
Which Solid State amp 2k used? Krell?
These are all good inputs, appreciate it. Oh, the reason I sold my other DR8 was I blew the crossovers in my speakers cranking up the volume a tad too much. Figured it was cheaper/easier to go to more modest power since I can't always count on beh...
1K speaker advice?
Pick up a pair of Martin Logan Aerius speakers used, ideal for your needs. Jeff
Gallo Micro?
I use five Micros and the Gallo powered sub in a HT only set-up, does the trick for me. High WAF and reasonably priced. I'd also consider using them in a bedroom system etc...Not the last word in musicality by any means, but unobtrusive and sound ...
?? best expandable banana connector
WBT connectors are the best I've ever used, not cheap, but very very good. I think Audio Advisor sells 'em
Apogee Stage: Midrange Magic?
I owned Apogee Duetta speakers for several years, the midrange was seductive. I sold 'em off when I had kids cuz I figured they'd put their rlittle hands right through the ribbons. I miss those speakers, although I do like my Martin Logan Quest Z's

Wall socket change

Sellers Obligation To Respond
Avguygeorge, happens way too often. I'm selling a Seismic Sink right now, some guy wrote me asking how it compared to Vibraplane. How the hell would I know? Bizarre
Sellers Obligation To Respond
I agree, and equally frustrating is taking the time to answer questions then never hearing from the buyer again. A "decided on another piece of gear", or "I'm going to take my time sorting through my options", "found what I wanted for a great pric...
monitor speaker for near-wall placement?
Totem Rokk, real little gems for under $500. Look damned nice too
Cambridge D500SE ??
I owned a CD4 for a while in a office system, three months into owning it, I pressed play on the front panel and the front panel literally fell apart (the display fell inside the player). Evidently this is not uncommon with Cambridge. My dealer fi...
Which BAT preamp?
I'm running single-ended but could change to balanced, my amp has balanced inputs. I've owned a SP9 Mark II and now have a SP14. Due to the marginally bright nature of my current set up I do need to avoid solid state and get some of that tube warm...
Footers/Shelf Material
I've been fooling around with various material as well, I'm having a piece of granite made to size for use under my turntable, mostly because I already have a large piece of 1" thick granite when I had my kitchen re-done this past summer (chunk le...
