Do power cords make an audible difference?
From searching the archives to find out how others have handled glare in their systems I found that members years ago heard audible improvements when they swapped stock power cords out of their CDPs for aftermarket ones. Some of these threads thou...

Overpowering Speakers
Elizabeth is right on the money. Before in my 2 channel set up in my basement I had a Phase Linear 700B powering a pair of Tannoy bookshelf speakers that were rated up to 120 watts at 8 ohms. I was careful with the raising of the volume and listen...
"What the HECK were they thinking" Thread.
My "What the HECK were they thinking" song is Hillary Duff's track "Reach out and Touch me" where the beat from Depeche Mode's Personal Jesus was either sampled/used. Pure sacrilege IMO. Depeche Mode's Personal Jesus is an amazing song. Johnny Cas...

Ant info on the new KEF Q 900?
AberyKEF's site now has the info on the new Q line of speakers. The Q-900 looks to be the biggest of the new speaker line. They look really nice but then again I'm a KEF fan and am a bit biased. This line looks to be below the XQ line of speakers....

Hi ErikminerThanks for chiming in. I'll try to find a class A Plinius amp if they make one. I like class A even though it is so hot right now. Then I'm going to have to save my pennies and then find some space. From looking at some A'gon listings ...

What amps for Kef 104.2
Any additional thoughts or amp experiences that anyone would like to share on what amps should be used for the older KEF 104/2 speakers without the bi-wire capability? I'm going to try using a Sumo Nine. From my normal listening position I'd be si...

I guess in a little over 2 days we may know more. I didn't pick up the latest issue of Stereophile but I went to KEF USA's main website and they have a floorstanding speaker partially covered along with a countdown. It may be the speaker you are t...
Question regarding burn-in
I have a question about the duration and method of burning in speaker cables. I was on the Zu Audio website and saw their new Mission line of speaker cables. I'm very interested in them. I read that they require 200-400 hours of break/burn-in. My ...
How many 'listen outside of the box' design?
Coltrane1I lost track of this thread and didn't get a chance to say Thanks for your input on the maintenance of stats and OB speakers. You make a valid point about the ease of upgrading/tweaking.
