Power Cord with a 20 amp female and 15 amp male ?
My shop inquired with them about it and we were told that the cord was good for 20A usage. As long as the connector is rated for 20A, which in my case the 330i presumably is, the orientation of the tangs is not important. 10-14-15: Reynolds853Exam...
DAC drops out when Furnace starts or stops. HELP
Douglas_schroeder,I use a 2 meter digital coax cable myself. I don't think anyone here said a 1.5M was the magic length. I think Al, (Almarg), and Kijanki offered a more technical reasoning why the digital cable made the difference and the fact th...

Power cable "Break in" question
Like Lowrider57 said. It has to be connected to a load. If you buy one of these you could connect it to your refrigerator. The new power cord needs to be at least 14 gauge wire though..
Power Amp Repair Question
They had a $100 estimate fee and I assumed I'd get an estimate with a diagnosis. After one month, the shop doesn't know what's wrong but says I lose the $100 if I want it back. I asked if they might know in 2 more weeks and they said probably not....
Heat heat and more heat??
Daveyf,Curiosity killed the cat. Did you disconnect the Sub from the amp to see if that was the cause of the heat?(I assume the heat is coming from the power transistors heat sink fins on each side of the amp.)If you did disconnect the sub and the...
Hear sibilance on Krall, Famous Blue, D. Fagen?
All is well until she gets to the word "soon [we'll be without the moon…]." The letter "S" in the word "soon" is very strident. 09-04-15: RebbiShe sings the phase twice in the song. Neither passage of the words "soooon, we'll be without the moon",...
Hear sibilance on Krall, Famous Blue, D. Fagen?
Rebbi,Sibilance is a manner of articulation of fricative and affricate consonants, made by directing a stream of air with the tongue towards the sharp edge of the teeth, which are held close together; a consonant that uses sibilance may be called ...

ARC VT-50 Damage/Repair Advice
Hi Al, I suppose it's possible that the physical placement of the rectifier circuit and the filter capacitors could have provided some reduction in the likelihood that a short to that screw would have affected the other channel,Al, That was not a ...
