Better Records vs MoFi
So I just ordered "Heart - Dog and Butterfly - Super Hot Stamper (Quiet Vinyl)". Can't wait to compare it to my original copy that I purchased new when it first came out.
Better Records vs MoFi
I'm really tempted to try comparing one from BR against one of my original pressings that I find to be exceptional.  Gonna need to keep an eye open for one that would be a good comparison.  Mostly just for curiosity's sake.
List some of your favorite live Jazz recordings
Most threads on Agon make me wish there was a block button available.  This one makes me wish there was a like button!  Some many albums to revisit and more importantly, so many to experience for the first time!  Thanks to everyone who has and wil...

So many great albums to choose from and so many already listed.  One I didn’t see, forgive me if I missed it. Kenny Drew, Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen – Duo Live In Concert

Kenny Drew, anything on Steeplechase Records, particularly Dark Beauty. Currently spinning Joe Albany Birdtown Birds, also on Steeplechase and also recommend.

@curiousjim I ordered An Evening With Ron Carter & Richard Galliano last night on Discogs, unfortunately I won’t have it to enjoy over the long weekend.  But my copy of Brilliant Corners arrived today and just finished getting a bath and is no...

@curiousjim I haven't heard that, (I will now), but recently saw this and just bought it on a whim and it's surprising enjoyable.  With bass, percussion, brass and piano as well, the accordion isn't overwhelming.

@pjw81563 Measurements have their place, but when someone relies solely on them, I ain't buying what they're selling.  And there was one review in particular that sealed the deal for me, when their results were so diametrically opposed to what I h...

@curiousjim You can NEVER go wrong with a Kenny Drew day!  I already have 4 KD albums cleaned and ready to go for the upcoming long weekend!
Burn in vs perception
@erik_squires Good to know, thanks.  If I decide to put them in service I'll power them up a few days in advance and set the circuit in the power regenerator they're plugged into to stay powered up 24/7.  Thanks again.
Burn in vs perception
@erik_squires Can I ask what class D amps you had this experience with?  I have a pair of PS Audio M1200 amps still in the boxes they came in (bought used).  Not sure when I’ll put them in service, they’re more intended as backups right now, but I...
Burn in vs perception
I believe capacitors can require burn in time. A recent example is the PS Audio M700 and M1200 amps. Paul at PSA did one of his videos on a question regarding break in on electronics and one of them according to him sounds terrible off the assembl...
How to prevent visitors from touching your system
As long as they don’t mess with the tonearm I really don’t care or see what harm they could do.  (I’m assuming they won’t be reaching around back and messing with cables😂).

There are LOTS of earlier editions dirt cheap on eBay. I just grabbed the first edition that covers LPs for $5.19 shipped. Just go there and search The Penguin Guide to Jazz on LP, CD, and Cassette or The Penguin Guide to Jazz Recordings if you...
I am interested to update my 15 year old system !
I am 98% vinyl/analog.  That being said, if you’re starting from scratch vinyl is a money pit.  If I had to start over again, I’d do it all over, but honestly, that’s probably not the smartest idea.  P3 is a nice TT with lots of upgrade options bu...
