Fee for home audition
Seems like you should be able to get enough in store with a streamer. I get "in home" for speakers and some other pieces that may be affected by room acoustics. That being said; charging you a fee, even for an "in home demo? Ridiculous. Dealers I'...
A SHOCKING DISCOVERY ABOUT DIGITAL AUDIO
Y'all know the best way to silence kenjit is to just ignore him, right? Perhaps you just can't resist opening up the "box".
Made in USA
If it's not already been said; I'd say your mostly right on the made in America as far as final assembly in some if not most all cases. Products can claim made in America even if only the final assembly and/or testing is done here. The only way to...
Speakers with deep/powerful bass
I've shook my room and at times the house with my Moab's (2 - 12's" each) more than a few times. My wife thought the military base not far from us was detonating old ordinance (MCAAP base in OK).
Why do so many sellers take offense to offers on their listings?
Value is in the Eye of the owner. And sometimes we get emotionally attached as human beings.
What is the Best Sounding Stand Mount Speaker in the world?
Best sounding "Stand Mount" speakers I ever heard has to be Dick Sequerra’s MET 7’s. Hands down the best sound state and realistic presentation of anything I’ve heard in that class. The bottom end can be lacking, but let’s face it; they're stand m...
Considering Towers in the $3000 range
I agree with the Moab's, however, if size is an issue, then definitely consider the Double Impacts or the Pendragons; right in your price range. Incredible value and incredible products. I own a pair of Moab's with the Be tweeters. Could not be ha...
Up to $4000US tower speakers for Jazz and Classical Music
Corelli... That's why, outside of their phenomenal sound quality, I suggest looking at the Moab or at least the Double Impact from Tekton. Neither needs a Sub, at all, shipping is free and more often than not, there is no sales tax added, On a $4...
Up to $4000US tower speakers for Jazz and Classical Music
I’ve had my Moabs for 2 years now as well and I’ve owned a number of different brands and models over the years including Vandersteen’s, Martin Logan’s and SDA’s. I’ve also auditioned many higher end pieces including Wilson, Focal, Avalon and too ...
Looking for new speakers for large audio room
Tekton Ulfberht’s with all Be Mid/HF Drivers (definitely choose your custom color) and Bi-Wire options. You’ll simply be amazed at $20K.
What are you using to drive your Tektons?
Moabs w/Be tweeters driven by Krell KAV-3250 also driving Moab center channel for HT listening. BTW, the Moabs are "mighty" as Barry Cox often notes.
Speakers for triode tube amps
Tekton for sure. Looks and esthetics do not make better music. Great products and great value. I have the Moabs and they can be driven marvelously with a good 10 watt class A tube amp.
The first system you had that was "high end/audiophile", by you standards
