Wyred4Sound Modified Sonos I have had a w4s Sonos (clocked @96) for years. It was worth it then. But I mean now you can get a Bluesound for $600. So that might be a better way to go. But if you are committed to the Sonos ecosystem then I think its a good option. w4s mods th...
DAC upgrade? ++ on recommendations to save coins and spend more on a good DAC. Spend time reviewing DACS and understanding the technology. I remember demoing a cheaper DAC thinking it would improved the sound of my Sonos connect. It didn't , so I waited an...
Linking TV audio into Sonos system? The Sonos Connect has left right analog inputs. If your TV has analog output you might be able to run those into the Connect and then select "line in" on the Sonos interface as a source. Just a guess.
Stand Deliver I guess I am not surprised at Clapton given his past comments about society.
Wadi a315 Thanks Tim. | |
Benefit of a Newer (Used) DAC - "Bang for the Buck?" The Wadia 321 and di322 can be had for a song and are a purdy good value. Of course Wadia is no longer but support is available.

Cambridge Audio CXC Transport Question I had an older Sony CD/DVD player that I was using as a transport and I demoed a CXC and didnt really get a noticeable bump in SQ so I just kept the Sony. But about a year later the Sony crapped out. So I purchased a Bryston BOT-1 transport to ...
Colapse to Hegel Almost finished with the Demo on the Rost. Very impressive little 50W amp. I played music through it for 24 hours before I started listening. Very pleasing high quality sound from an entry level integrated. I used my Wadia 321 streaming (Qobuz,...
Integrated Amp Question for a Newbie to the Forum I am in-home demoing the Hegel Rost now and I am total impressed with the sound quality of this little integrated.
what is the advantage of having a Roon core that's not on your computer? +1 on the SGC ST. I moved my Roon Core off a iMAC to the ST inside the gear rack. Simple dedicated box dedicated to running the core. No more problems with the iMAC patches causing issues.
Colapse to Hegel I guess I forgot to mention budget constraints. The Krell is out of bounds. Although the LD has mentioned the Simaudio Ace. The 2 contenders so far are Hegel and the Budget stretching SimAudio Ace.
DAC/Preamp/Amp Recommendations Correction: The standard Moon Ace may not be Roon ready. So you could do and SGC package like this that gets you a renderer. https://www.smallgreencomputer.com/collections/audio-server/products/premier-server-player-combo-son...Should still hav...
DAC/Preamp/Amp Recommendations If you only stream and don’t need the CD ripper you might consider this https://www.smallgreencomputer.com/collections/audio-server/products/sonictransporter-i5 add an LPS and you should have a roon platform for less than $1.5KThen consider Simaud... |
