Cary SLI-80 Speakers Recommendation it is always wise to start with the speakers you think you can live with and work backwards. they will have the greatest impact(aside from your room) in regard to your listening.
McIntosh MCD 205 are we talking a couple or lots?
With all your knowlege you have gained over time, i would have skipped the hobby altogether. lifes too short and music is great even through a boom box or a table radio. music traveling through the mountains on a summer night is better than anything my hi end system ever did.
Breaking in new speakers there is no substitute for plug and play. remember, your ears will adjust as much as the speakers will.
Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, audio group. what do you call a boombox after a person from kentucky hits someone in the head with it? an audio club
BEST LOW VOLUME FULL RANGE SPEAKERS? any quality loudspeaker can do what you want provided your pre or integrated or receiver has full function tone controls. this speaks to the absurdity that most hi end companies abandoned these, while a few refined them. they always were a plus to...
My old system vs my new its the totems. if those c-8s were back in your system, you would have gone sideways
SET for Orchestral , Big Band etc. c123666 is right. sets with most speakers just turn to mush with classical and big band recordings. they are fine with stuff like patricia barber and...well...other stuff like patricia barber.
Integrated amp shutting down a cyrus on the gon for 279.......superb
Rarest Brands for Sale on 'Gon saw a nobis and a beard
Whats on your turntable tonight? the electric flag-second lp(self titled)....blues project-live at town hall
Best CDs for vocals? it would depend on who your favorite singers are.
The very best new/used under $3k for classical? castle harlech....full range....balanced....beatiful cabinets.....capatable with a very wide variety of ss and tube gear
SET for Orchestral , Big Band etc. check out the quad ll classics....15w of push/pull....great for orchestra
looking for best speakers to match with small 25w it depends on the amp. as a generalization, a 25wpc tube amp will probably be a good fit with a rather 'forward' horn or one of the above mentioned speakers. the more mellow/laidback stuff tends to love ss and big watts |
