Advice on Music
Thanks for all the suggestions. I think what I am going to do is, first pull these albums/tracks up on Qobuz ( if they have it), find which ones I like to get a taste and then go on the hunt to find them on LP format.
What is your most beautiful component?
My Martin Logan Motion 40 Speakers! And now that I got a new TT, 2nd runner up: Mofi Studiodeck.
Amplifier pairing with Martin Logan Motion 20s ...?
I am sure any of those amps would do you well with your ML's but I will throw in my own suggestion also.I have the motion 40's and love them also, paired to a Vincent SV-500 Hrybrid Integrated and I feel they sound great together,  no matter what ...
Finally bought a new Turntable!
I might have to clarify something, maybe I made it sound like I had to turn up the volume very high. That is not what I meant, initially I mean that I had to turn it up a little higher then I had to when I was using my Denon. But after adjusting th...

Finally bought a new Turntable!
I want to make sure I understand something clearly, some of you are referring to line stage?Could you define that? The output of my phono preamp goes to the input of my integrated amp (one of the inputs). Is the input considered the line stage?Thnx
Finally bought a new Turntable!
So currently, I set my preamp to 0pf, 475ohm, 66db and RIAA Curve.I think it sounds better but need to spend more time and let it break in.I was reading the owner's manual for the SimAudio Moon 310lp (one step above my preamp) and it states that 4...

Finally bought a new Turntable!
Thanks for the feedback. The output is 0.5mv and I believe my preamp tops out at 66db.I will continue to play music this weekend to see how things sound. Perhaps in the near future, I may have to upgrade to a better phono preamp.
Just Curious - About using a AV Receiver as main unit
@noromance Thanks for the positive feedback.Yea, I also used my Denon in the past and I thought it sounded pretty decent and that is why I am keeping it. Besides, I wouldn't get much for it anyway, it might have been close to $3k in it's day but I...
Just Curious - About using a AV Receiver as main unit
@dweller Thanks, I am doing ok. @noble100 Thanks for your input, I appreciate it.Actually, I am not looking to incorporate a AVR as I already have a 2 channel system with a Integrated Amp.I had just brought up the subject because I thought it woul...
Just Curious - About using a AV Receiver as main unit
Miller,Actually, in my original post, I stated "Just Curious" and I also stated, " I will say for myself, I started with a Denon AVR-5700" and also, " Last year I bought a Integrated amp but honestly, I could have easily stayed with the Denon an...
Just Curious - About using a AV Receiver as main unit
Thanks for all the suggestionsThis was just a thought experiment, as I stated I already have a Integrated Amp that I use.At Millercarbon,I have to say, I can’t imagine they are all crap. I get that if a person can start off with a 2 Channel Compon...
