Speaker Questions Get the Polk speakers for $880! You will have a fine HT setup for sure! I always prefer floor-standers over stand-mounts.
Help me choice Audioquest speaker cables Wire, along with fuses, is the biggest rip off going! And the most profitable for companies selling "audiophile" speaker wire!

NRG a201s Amplifier; Too Old to Risk? Too expensive for a 30 year old amp! You can find better deals for less on the secondhand/eBay marketplace.
Added an SUT...not sure I understood this Yes, the standard 47K mm input on the SP14 should work fine.
Rotary mixer to single ended triode amp You need an XLR-to-RCA adapter. EBay has them.
No dust caps? The PS Audio speaker is a regular voice coil/diaphragm in a magnetic gap. Nothing new!
No dust caps? A dust cap has no effect upon sound quality. As the name implies it keeps dust out of the gap between voice coil and magnet. A speaker cone can incorporate an integral dust cap. That piston-like thing is just a magic prop for "wow" factor. |
