Simaudio 400m / 860A vs PS Audio BHK250 @sdw would you say they compete in their own way with the A/AB stuff? What did you like about them?
Simaudio 400m / 860A vs PS Audio BHK250 I'm using a Primaluna Dialogue Premium Pre. And really no humidity in Texas? My time in Galveston and Houston there was quite a bit of humidity, but sure lol. Yeah I'm upstairs. We have 24ft ceilings so all the heat rises into the rooms upstai...
Simaudio 400m / 860A vs PS Audio BHK250 @jerryg123 this is awesome to hear. I'm in California so the only difference is probably the humidity! Would you think I'd be losing a ton of fidelity moving the monoblocks that are essentially half the price of the BHK? Do you think it could be m...
Simaudio 400m / 860A vs PS Audio BHK250 @dynguy thanks for the info. I've seen the 400m in person and they are barely warm to the touch in standby, but I haven't experienced listening to them or their heat output but is assume it is very very low.
Simaudio 400m / 860A vs PS Audio BHK250 @overthemoon any idea how cool they run? I understand it isn't an exact science but using a thermo laser my BHK runs 122-124 and is just way too hot. I figured heat specs would be way more common for amps while they're running. All I seem to find ...
Simaudio 400m / 860A vs PS Audio BHK250 @jimbones I'm to the point to where I find a cooler amp or buy 20ft runs of interconnects and 20ft runs of speaker cable and keep the amp and pre in another room. We'll see how that goes if I do.
Most economical way to ship large speakers? How economical you want to be isn't worth the cost if the speakers arrive damaged. Its worth to extra cost to make sure they arrive safe and sound. I'll be going palletized from here on out since FedEx doesn't stand behind their insurance.
Background noise. @ditusa I think you missed my point. That everything gets put back onto the line as noise. Also, I'm surprised a rack company has a blanket statement opinion about power conditioning. That's the first haha.
Background noise. Do you think part of the this could be electronic noise being put back into the line from the unit running? I have a small fan in my music room and when I click it on, even with the Shunyata power conditioner, you can hear the fan click on and off...
Atma-Sphere Class D… Amazing @drhamp what are your thoughts on them? Have you been a class d user before? I'm very interested.
Audiogon infested with pop-up ads @noromance I just downloaded Ghostery and will give this a shot.
Audiogon infested with pop-up ads The ads have actually gotten more overbearing in the past couple of weeks. Usually you'd get a few with niche ebay gear nobody wants or the modern version of Chinese knockoff Affliction dad clothing. Now they've added like two more ads with one be...
Atma-Sphere Class D… Amazing @tinear123 you mentioned these Atma-sphere's class D being in the realm of PS Audio m700. I've been considering the M1200's with a tube input. Have you heard these? Would you care to explain how the same or different the Atma-sphere may be vs the ...
Analog Upgrade itch @eddiechanghk so I thought about the Steelhead but I couldn't get over the look. A little bit too much going on for my taste and aesthetics are as important to sonics to me. I've heard the Steelhead is a good phono, but is a great phono was the re...
Analog Upgrade itch I purchased an Allnic H-3000 because of @whart and I couldn't be happier. I went from a Chinook to the Allnic H-6500 and while nice, wasn't everything I was looking for. With the H-3000 this could very well be my last Phono. My only complaint is t... |
