Mini Monitors - Dynaudio and JM Labs
Perkadin,Funny that you poke fun at my listening room furniture. I never looked at it that way but looking at my room from the outside, I can see your point. When you add shelves for CD's and DVD's, an equipment rack and room treatments, there is ...

Thank you to all those who have responded so far. As the responses indicate, all listed are obviously very good speakers. If I didn't have a sub, I'd probably lean toward a Dynaudio. That Utopia tweeter is intriguing and I think it could solve my ...

Branimir and Jond,Can you tell me how far apart your speakers are and is the sweet spot broad enough for two to enjoy? Also please tell me how well these speakers play rock and roll?

I have over 200 hours on my D1. Prior to the Audio Mirror, I felt that Redbook performance on my Marantz SA14 was very good. SACD was better in my opinion but not by a significant margin. My prior CDP player was a Cal Delta transport and Cal Alpha...

Just received my D1 today and let it play for eight hours before I sat down for good listen. I’ve got a smile on my face. First impression of build quality seems very good. As someone mentioned earlier, it’s ashamed that the digital in RCA was not...
Jeff Rowland amp owners: What's your pre-amp??
I'm using an original Coherance One with 201's. I had to have a balanced cable made up with dual RCA's to XLR. I've had the premap for 11 years. My CDP or speakers will be replaced before my preamp.
TRL Marantz Sa-14
I’ve read this thread in its entirety and was happy to see some information on the Marantz SA14, the CDP that I’ve own for two to three years. When I made the decision to purchase my SA14, there was very little information pertaining to the unit o...
Best Upgrade you had?
The addition of a subwoofer intended primarily for HT. I've found that a few work well with movies and music. I listen to 2-channel daily with a REL Stadium III. A good sub that is intended for music will make a significant improvement to anyones ...
Portable Audiophile
Etymotics ER-4P or ER-4S. The ER-4S need an external amp. These are ear buds that offer the absolute best in noise cancellation during air travel, much better than any noise cancellation headphones. They rival the best headphone period regardless ...
Lencoclean - Supertonic
Kehut,Thank you for your response. It's exactly what I wanted to hear. Just had to make sure that before I make that investment I can salvage my collection by cleaning all those treated LP's.Denis
REL Stadium and Rowland 201's setup -HELP
Solution has been found for high level connection. Conventional interface of RED on RT+ to YELLOW to LT+ and BLACK to EITHER- works. I didn't think that a low level connection to a HT processor would make a difference but it does. The REL was usin...
I get a "clicking" on some of my burnt CD's, why?
Try listening to your cd through your computer's CD-rom before burning. I had the same problem and discovered that it was the CD-rom and not the burner. Also, while burning a disc, it's imparative not to do anything on your computer. Everytime you...
REL Stadium and Rowland 201's setup -HELP
I believe that I've remedied my problem with the help of Sumiko. Rowland amps input- pin configuration are different from industry standard. When auditioning these amps, I did not have a balanced cables to use since my preamp, uses dual RCA on its...
REL Stadium and Rowland 201's setup -HELP
My problem is not with the connection but getting the sub to turn on. I've got the yellow wire from the REL going to the LT+, red going to RT+ and black grounded to the amp chassis. Sumiko states that this should do the trick but it does not work....
