Thanks to all who have helped me in my quest for excellent sound.
You will be back sooner or later.
A New Reel to Reel Tape Deck?
They mean Studer is back? Or is it Nagra?
What the *#$@ happened??
I am surprised too. I have 3" maple block under my Nottingham Spacedeck and everything is fine.

Could you tell us which woods you are taling about? Also, what table is that?Generally speaking, it is not simple with woods. Maple is the most popular, I never heard anyone use ebony or ironwood, as an example. You probably got a lot of vibration ...

I really like the sound of Ferrari under acceleration. It's like an orchestra at La Scala. I've never driven one. If I do I'll want one and won't feel too good. But Koenigsegg appears to sound more primal and powerful, like a message from prehisto...

I get the feeling that, generally speaking, people who are tape heads sound different than vinyl heads. Of course, there are those who are both. Truer to the roots you know. Long live the tape!

The Koenigsegg sounds better than any hifi and evidently feels great too while being a real wild animal. This is the ultimate audiophile rig. I would move anywhere to be able to drive it, but first I would have to learn serious driving, it would b...

Regardless of priorities, $80k is a lot of money for most people, either Americans or Europeans. I would have to be making something like quarter of million dollars per year to may be able to justify such expense. I prefer older cars though, moder...

As someone said - the New World is a disaster but the Old one is no achievement-.Personally, I don't think that any fathers let alone founding fathers like democracy, it threatens their authority and  ' God given right ' to implement the original ...
VPI Traveler and Lyra Delos
$2k is a lot for a cartridge. By all accounts the Lyra is worth it, but you probably need at least $5k table/arm and $3k phono stage plus really good cable to get the most out of it.
Needle just gets stuck in a particular spot of the record ! What is going on?
Speaking of new copies, I recently bought by mistake Miles's "Bitches Brew" Mo-Fi reissue. Well, first the vinyl looks like it's hundred years old, real bad, and second they screwed up the re-mastering by making everything sound nice and even, the...
