Movie/film suggestions. I also liked The Counselor and especially, the back and forth over the phone between the cartel leader played by Ruben Blades and Michael Fassbinder as Ruben intellectually schools Michael in the world he wrongly stepped into. That was some might...
Can you do anything to make power tubes last longer ? Be sure you know what you are doing in setting bias on the low side. If the measurement is in mA, the lower number means running the tube more gently. If the bias is in mV, a higher number means lower current and gentler treatment of the tubes....
Can you do anything to make power tubes last longer ? And fewer on/off cycles, I suppose ? I think that there may be differing opinions on that, @inna . Personally, I do not like to leave output tubes idling when I am not around/in the close by vicinity. The older I get the more neurotic I get. B...
Movie/film suggestions. As I typed, @nonoise , I was thinking I would be the odd man out on that one. Thunderbolt is one of my least favorite movies he (Jeff Bridges) was in, but you know what they say: "It's a good thing we all don't like chocolate ice cream." Or som...
Can you do anything to make power tubes last longer ? I would THINK (and I may be wrong) that if the suggested bias parameter is given as a value between settings, setting to the lower end might be healthier for the tubes. In other words, as an example, if the suggested bias was given as something li...
any members in Montana you guys are the most polite gentlemen I know here :) Ha ha! When I was going off with that litany of reasons that I find Yellowstone to be a total waste, I forgot to mention the completely unbelievable portrayal that Kelly Reilly does of Joh...
Movie/film suggestions. @immatthewj Since you listed two political movies, one I’d recommend is The Contender, starring Joan Allen (who should have won best actress) as a VP contender, Jeff Bridges as the president, Gary Oldman as a GOP senator and William Patterson, Ch...
any members in Montana @thecarpathian , oh my, I hope you didn't interpret my long winded reply as being antagonistic or defensive. As I started typing I just kept thinking of more and more reasons a realistic and believable drama could be set in Montana that would be ...
any members in Montana Of course Yellowstone was sensationalized, otherwise what would a show about Montana be about, new squeegee at the gas station? Neighbor’s cow ate an old spinster’s petunias? You are over simplifying,, @thecarpathian , there actually was and I ...
The best opening act you've ever seen & heard? The Babys were originally scheduled to open Wow, @csmgolf , I haven't heard anyone mention that group for a long long time. As I remember, I kind of liked them.
Directional wires/cables You have a way with words, @jea48 .
any members in Montana @12many , that series went from bad to real bad to unbelievably bad in a hurry. In retrospect I cannot understand how/why I watched it long enough to chart those evolutionary stages, except to say that I have some masochistic tendencies.
any members in Montana I used to get in trouble at that age but survived it, luckily. It was mostly my fault being in the wrong place in the wrong time - knowingly. We are only young once... Ah, the Missoula shooting incident. Sneaking into open garages at night is ...
any members in Montana I used to do crime mapping so I was painfully aware of homicide rates and where and what triggered them. That's interesting. Out of curiosity, did that include Montana at all? And if so, how did that state stack up?
Movie/film suggestions. A couple I just now thought about that I liked and are somewhat related: Primary Colors starring John Travolta who (although the names were changed) was obviously portraying Bill Clinton in the '92 primaries, also featured Billy Bob and Kathy Bat... |
