Anyone else feel like it’s the Wild Wild West?
What is your point @lalitk ? It is a forum asking a question, and I gave my perspective. Is there a part you want me to fix up?
Opinions before purchasing
Subs can never achieve this (even expensive ones such REL since drivers are too slowly). @kiterlux what does ^this^ mean?
Opinions before purchasing
I find a sub more useful than a center channel. So I would go 2.2 before I went 3.1 or 3.1 And even 4.2 before 5.01 or 5.1. But in a small room, if people are off to the sides, then a center may be more useful. Just not for 1 or 2 people clo...
How many turntables have you owned?
Only two: One when I was kid. Then… 1984 SOTA Saphire Plus 2 arms, and 4 arm boards. Rebuild kit and RoadRunner controller. But I have been looking at some other tables recently. (Older Micro Seiki, Luxman, and Denon tables.)
Alta Vista NP-100 input impedance?
Is it possible to measure the input impedance?

It was easier with vinyl, as non of that extra multi-$1k increments were needed. No power conditioners No internet lines No fancy USBs Nothing extra.
SQ difference XLR vs RCA ?
All my equipment is balanced (Audio Research Reference) and Audio Research recommends using balanced. I have tried both. I was unable to hear a substantial difference. Since, more and more manufacturers are headed that way (I think), I went ahe...
Perspective system advise needed.
My advice is to spell advice with a "c". Well, for the prospective system…  The Genelecs make a lot of sense.   As @djones51 mentioned: You don’t need a DAC for Genelec the ones speakers So the OP may be better off getting a sub than a DA...
The thing about objectivists is...
It is probably easier for many of us to revert to talking about other members than to understand, and comprehend the original post. That may be why the thread is now about one member, rather than about philosophy?

Oh boy.... it did not take you long to resurface here yet another time. I sounds like I now have to another name in my long list:   theaudioamp   deludedaudiophile   thynamesinnervoice   cindyment   snratio   yesiamjohn   sugaboog...

@asvjerry : it is not a list. It’s just one dude. With multiple banned usernames. He has not posted@theaudiomaniac most recent username in a a day or two, so likely got banned again, but he will be back, with yet another username. He always does ...
SQ difference XLR vs RCA ?
Well, on my big Mac amp the extra gain of the XLR circuit raised my idle hiss to an audible level. I had to pad that down to remove the hiss. So in my experience XLRs can work in some installations and not work so well in others. Usually the XL...
Amp Internal Wire
I have heard VH Audio’s UniCrystal OCC single solid core copper and their silver wire with purity of 5n (99.999%) is very good.VH Audio uses a foamed fluoropolymer insulation and not a solid fluoropolymer or teflon. It has been proven to keep the...
Indentical measurments = Identical performance?
Is there agreement and proof of each measurement’s value and the range of human sensitivity? Is there any proof otherwise? The answer is no. It doesn’t work that way in science. We do not make someone prove that pixies do not exist, in...
A rookie with 10K, seeking advise
The Lintons are not good speakers. I had them for a month. I had not one good thing to say about them. @grislybutter how did you choose those originally? Do you hear them first?
