Velodyne DLS-R and DPS series Anyone?
Zobel network Springbok, amplifier do use zobel network but it purpose is to stabilize current rail that supply power to the output stage during speaker loads. Using a zobel network in the woofer help sustain a near pure resistive load.
Zobel network Just tested the network today and notice an improvement in the midbass. As of now, midbass sound punchy and articulate. Their seem to be more control on the cone but I can't conclude on this since the components are not fully burn in.Thanks Alfredo
Zobel network The electrolytic is non-polarized. Sorry about the mis interpretation. Polarized electrolytic is a no-no. :)
Zobel network Thanks for the responses. Gregm, judging the speakers T/S parameters, the impedence is up to 28 ohms at the crossover point with is 2500hz. At the point where the the impedence start to rise is at about 350 hz. At 1k, it has risen to 16.30 ohms. ...
Speaker/Amp Impedence Interface....... A impedance equalizer also call a zobel network may help with this situation. Usually used in crossover help maintain speaker impedance as frequency increase. There are also amp that have this network within the output stage which helps stabilize ...
Your favorite type of music and genre? Very interesting genre and thanks for the responses.
Distortion and popping from new speakers Davef, I had a similar problem but with a Hafler DH-200 power amp. The problem with mine was that it had a bad output transistor. In your situation however, it could be different. I would call Musical Fidelity and tell them the situation. Thanks Al...
How does the Ayre System Enhancement CD work? Warren, I believe the frequency tone sweep was purposely used to find the system frequency bandwidth potential. It can also be use to find peak and dips in a speaker and room. I used to have a cleaning disc that had this tone sweep and many other ...
Which warm sounding cd player for under $400? Again thanks for the responses.Shoe, its been a long time since I talked to you.
Which warm sounding cd player for under $400? Thanks Eric. I just recently looked at your system and saw that you have a Yamaha CDX-410u. I have a CDX-910u and boy did it sound awful. Although it image better, everything else was harsh and thin to me so I went back to the NAD.
Which warm sounding cd player for under $400? Thanks for the responses. Out of the three described above, I'm lean toward the NAD. Although I read great things about the Rotel, I really like the NAD sound. I have another question, would the C541i match well with the Adcom GTP-400? How about ...
Ground Loop Question Sugerbrie is correct, single-point ground is ideal way to isolate ground loops. To further improve ground loops, a ground lift is the best.
Wall Mounting Hardware for Acoustic Panels Hi Peter, I am planning on doing the same thing only difference is that my panel would hang over the window during listening sessions and removed when not. Alfredo |
