Who are the Kings of Audiogon?
@elizabeth Are you one of the Old Gods or the New?
Using Martin Logan speakers with tube amps??Any experiences??
I have the good fortune to have a friend who drives M-L 15a Renaissance electrostats with a vintage Audio Research tube amp.  Don't know the model, but has, if memory serves,16 output tubes total.  He can really open those stats up with that amp! ...
How far have ss amps really come in the last twenty years?
@stringreen +1  Within the last year I sent my Steve McCormack modified DNA-1 back to him for a 20th anniversary upgrade.  Steve and the guys at SMc Audio really did an extensive refit on the amp.  Steve explained that he has had some deep pocket ...
Music lover or audiophile?
Both are not mutually exclusive for me.  Improving my system affords me the opportunities to enjoy my music even more than before.  I recently went the all silver wire route with my interconnects.  That upgrade improved the resolution of the syste...
What’s the best SACD you’ve ever heard?
@curiousjim    I have never heard the CD of "Amused To Death" so I can't say how much better the SACD might sound but the SACD is a large format box like "Wish You Were Here".Go for the Clark Terry "Portraits" SACD.  People will, hell you may even...
What’s the best SACD you’ve ever heard?
+1 @stereo5   I should have mentioned "Amused To Death"!  No other recording that I have heard in stereo has sound that wraps around to the right and left of my listening position like that recording.  Besides that remarkable effect, it is a great...

Alert, Warning, and Caution about Modified Components
@noromance   Glad you're enjoying the adjective triads.  Me?  They give me vertigo!😲
What is they best album out there for showing off the sound quality of your system.
"Portraits" by Clark Terry SACD on Chesky.  Great jazz quartet with totally open soundstage with literally wall to wall imaging.  An immersive experience listening to top quality jazz.
Turntable Mat question
@kingbarbuda  Give Herbie's Grungebuster Mat a try is you want to take your sound to an even higher level than the WayExcellent.  My Grungebuster Mat makes my vinyl sing quite beautifully on my VPI Scout acrylic platter table.
So just how much vinyl do YOU own?
Having perused the Virtual Systems here, I suspect my collection to be quite modest compared to many residing here.  About 1600 albums.
Ultimate power condotioner
@three_easy_payments.  EXACTLY!
Perfect Path Technologies: Omega E mat
@jkbtn  Enjoy the music...what you can actually hear of it.👂🏻
***Is It Me Or Have Todays Modern Tubes Gotten REALLY REALLY Good***
My experience with NOS tubes has been that as a rule they do not stay quiet as long as the new production equivalents. Perhaps the very slightest loss of "vacuum"?
No love for 70's guitar bands?
So?
