Review: Clear Day Cables Double Shotgun Speaker cable
I totally agree with Jim's assessment of Clear Day cables and of Paul at Clear Day. His cables trounced much more costly cables I had, including Morrow SP-6's, which in their own right are very good, but in my system, the Clear Day singles and sho...
anyone using a Millennium Carbon fiber mat?
I suggest trying the new Classic aluminum/stainless steel platter instead of the acrylic platter. This is a substantial improvement, more than what a mat will provide. I went from the standard acrylic, to the Super Platter, to the Classic platter ...
anyone using a Millennium Carbon fiber mat?
Runner, which platter are you using?
E.A.R 834p. VS Graham Slee Reflex
I love my Graham Slee Reflex. Using it with a Graham Slee Elevator for a low output moving coil (Lyra Titan) cart.
Clear Day w Solid State, any users and impressions
I have the Clear Day cables and they are excellent, better than the Morrow SP-6 for a lot less money than Morrow, and much better than Anti Cables. Paul is a great guy to deal with. He offers a 30 day trial so if you don't like it you can send bac...
Has anybody tried using single solid core cables?
I have the Clear Day solid core silver speaker cables. I also have the Morrow SP-6 and Anti-Cables. The Clear Day is much much better than the Anti-Cables and better than the Morrows.
vpi anti static mat
I got it a few months ago for my Super Scoutmaster Ref. with rimdrive. I thought I was getting the black mesh mat I saw on line, instead I got a grey colored solid mat direct from vpi. It works well and does seem to remove a lot of the static with...
Silver cables
Minilogo, sorry I was referring to Clear Day's speaker cables, not rca interconnects.
Silver cables
I use Clear Day solid core silver cables and they are nothing short of fantastic. I was using Morrow SP-6 which cost a lot more than the Clear Day. The Clear Day blows the Morrows away. An 8' pair of solid core silver cables price is $135.00. Visi...
Isolation platforms for turntables
I would place the turntable in the center of the rack away from the left speaker. I use an Symposium Ultra under my table.
Moving-Coil Step-Up Transformer SUT
Yes that is technically correct Viridian. The Graham Slee Elevator 'steps-up' the output of Moving Coil (MC) cartridges and provides settings for loading and impedance to ensure optimal matching. Designed for MC cartridges with outputs at or below ...
Moving-Coil Step-Up Transformer SUT
Graham Slee Elevator SUT with my Graham Slee Reflex phono preamp for Titan-i cartridge. Works beautifully.
Most Quiet TUBE Preamp. Linestage. $ 12K or less
My Mystere CA-21 is dead silent when on. No noise, no buzz, nothing. The only way I know it is switched on is by looking at the blue power light.
Arm Heighth on VPI Classic
Stringreeen, in addition, I was at VPI headquarters several months ago at an audiophile meeting where they demonstrated the 3D tonearm and Harry talked about the direct drive table. They had numerous VPI tables set up. I recall that the tonearms a...
Arm Heighth on VPI Classic
Stringreen I had tested the arm with rear end higher, lower, and parallel and clearly found the best sound and performance of my Lyra Titan-i cartridge with the arm mostly parallel to the platter. In addition my tonearm is adjusted very well and t...
