Any experience with one box "multi channel" spkrs? One thing though....apparently the Yamaha is designed to bounce off the walls so u need to keep the walls fairly bare and symmetrical lay out is quite important where as POLK isn't....at least that's what I gather from reading their websites...
Reference Transports: An overall perspective Is it just me? A disproportionate amount or % of the very best transports seem to be from Japan in origin...steadfast dedication to mechanical engineering & craftsmanship? Zanden, Esoteric, 47 Lab, etc. I don't think we can say the same for SS...
Is There any Truly "High End" Integrated Amp? the new WAVAC has it fans though I haven't had the opp to listen to it myself
Blu Ray over/under $ Personally do not think Blu Ray vs HD-DVD format war will be lengthy and difficult as some make it out to be: Blu Ray will be the clear winner. Not necessarily due to quality etc but industry movement & dynamics. Blu Ray has all the big consum...
Reference DACS: An overall perspective Ah! Congrats Exlibris.

Conrad Johnson ACT2 against Audio Research Ref 3 Can someone provide more color (no pun intended) btwn CJ and AR preamps? Not what is better or what u prefer but what are the respective strengths or weaknesses or singular "character" they may have. The single ended vs balanced feedback was most ...
Best movies last two years Boa2, just saw Sympathy for Lady Vengeance yesterday, the third and last of the trilogy. Very good again. The twist that occurs 3/4 into the movie is brilliant and explores the emotion and idea of real vengeance in all of us most effectively.
Reference DACS: An overall perspective Exlibris: sorry to lose you from SACD! personally I love the format though titles....ah well. One thing though on Meitner. Not sure if u have done so but at least in my exp CSDC is whole league above the midofied Philips transport and has real syn...
Who is your overall favorite guitarist? Robm321, Yngwei...yikes! Cannot agree more. Generally at least for me, I really don't appreciate those who are technically proficient or even brilliant but then insist on showing off with just fast runs on scales without real musical and emotional...
SACD - Dying already? I compltely agree with an earlier post...as for mass market adoption of all formats the decisive factor is one of convenience in terms of flexibility, portability, maintenance and storage. Redbook did not "win" over LPs due to sound quality and ou...
Reviews with all double blind testing? Pabelson. I think "you have no proof" counter arguement falls flat when you have not provided any yourself. Its one thing to have some DBT results...but what Rouvin is pointing out is such tests in isolation tell us nothing without a substantially...
Has any one heard Magico Speakers? Boa2 understand where u are coming from as well as Alon...the even bigger issue for me is that I am in HK so looks like no way for me to investigate. Too bad as they sound very interesting.
Has any one heard Magico Speakers? Can someone post what their listening exp has been in a bit more detail other than they are exceptional? How do they compare to others, perhaps more well known speakers? How about comparing to say Kharma 3.2? Or any others? Can someone give us a s...
Reference DACS: An overall perspective Ignorant Question: using the Stealth btwn your CDSD and DCC2...by doing so, thus replacing the ST glass cable, can u still slave the transport to the DCC2? when playing redbook...CDSD "upconverts" PCM to DSD which is sent to the DCC2 or DAC6, stil... |
