My Japanese CD version of KOB (SRCS 9701) doesn't have above mentioned distortions.
Speaker recommendations, budget $10-15K

Amp recommendation for CJ ET3 preamp
I'd been using my Adagios with CJ pv15 and solid state amps. Just a couple of weeks ago got a BAT vk-55se amp, which was a revelation to me. The sound has become so beautiful it's hard to me even to describe, and it's not "tubey" at all. It's just...
where is another good place to search for b&w's?
"05-28-12: Baranowskithe site is in the usa but the post for the speakers is in Germany."What makes you think they're in Germany?Just curious.
Acoustic Zen Adagios help.

Defunct Company Gear Value
Thanks all, really appreciate your input.Plenty of food for thought.
Integrated Amp recommendation
Anthem is your best bang for the buck, and it sounds good too.
Integrated Amplifiers with neutral sound
Accustic Arts Power 1, Perreaux 150i or 250i. As neutral as you can get.
Acoustic Zen Adagio Speakers?
09-16-11: Sunnyjim"but they also are overpriced"Overpriced comparing to what?Personally, I think the price is OK. I highly doubt anyone pays their MSRP. You just need to get the right amplification for them, and they're absolutely fine for the price.

Warm, fullbodied, smooth, and transparent
FMS Nexus is a great cable. I use it with my CDP. Ecosse Myth - just fabulous, also have it, totally satisfied. And, of course, Acoustic Zen Matrix Reference.
Should I bother to try a subwoofer?
06-28-11: Wolf_garcia"Acoustically, either the 'ST' or the 'Q' range work excellently in either a hi-fi or home cinema system. However, the inputs on the 'Q' range are slightly more oriented towards home cinema use."That I can understand. But did ...
Should I bother to try a subwoofer?
"06-28-11: RrogAccording to REL their downward firing subwoofers are designed for music and their forward firing subwoofers are designed for home theater."Where exactly REL did say that?Thank you.
Magnepan 1.7 too bright, HELP
I absolutely second Macdadtexas's opinion
Loud buzz / hum on my Aesthestix Calypso Preamp?
I have no experience with the Calypso, but when the capacitors in my PS Audio P500 were dying, there was similar loud buzz/hum coming from my speakers.
