THE most sonically dissappointing (lp) you own of great music?
Loudness in my first yamaha amp was waste of space, but my friend lent me his LOUDNESS LP from a Japanese band, THAT was really horrible we both laughed out loud. Good ol ´days :)
Why do I keep torturing myself with remasters?
Removing unwanted signal is futile because to remove that extra signal needs digital processing and it always just lessens sound quality.I personally don´t want any kind of digital processing to the original information. I´m not excited about anal...
Why do I keep torturing myself with remasters?
Me too... Honestly, digital can´t surpass analog IMHO. So I´m not worrying.

Anyone else having trouble getting cartridges back they sent for repair?
Maybe he just forgot you, he has way too much work to do as he has no assistant. Make a direct phone call, he usually ignores emails as far as I know.

Farewell Rick Wright of Pink Floyd
The Pompeii concert film shot in Autumn 1971 is probably the best prog live "gig" filmed. The whole Meddle album is their finest achievement, every tune is a gem in its own right and "Echoes" one of Prog´s best epics. Richard Wright was criminal...
Rush albums sound quality
Hello Steve, Signals is dull (lack of dynamics) due to the fact that it is a digital recording (JVC). It´s a pity as it´s one of their finest albums (musically).Their next effort Grace under Pressure must also be a digital due to dull sound again ...

Why do I keep torturing myself with remasters?

Why do I keep torturing myself with remasters?
Was the original sealed Boston a US or UK copy ? As for Japanese pressings, some do have overly bright sound, like The Outlaws´ "Playin´ to Win". My original US copy has warm and balanced analog sound.

I think it´s all just for the money. To sell those Pink Floyd masterpieces over and over and over again. Quality true analog reprints ? Who cares, buyer gets new pristine vinyl and cover, inserts etc. anyway, that makes him/her happy. To be honest...
