Agree with the above. Any speaker you like with 90+ sensitivity would do fine. The MBLs are not among these Given the voicing of the amp, I would go for speakers with a flat and extended high frequency. One "point source" type of speaker I woul...
People complain about lack of bass, not enough mid range. Solution?
Try optimising speaker placement. Then, try some room treatment (diffusers, absorbers, etc) - As other have noted above, you might find the bass magically appears! Following the above you may wish to bi-amp -- or not, as it were. OTOH, if you li...
If you have a nice system why do you really need room treatments?
Hi - I assume you are not out to take the mickey out of the rest of us so, It’s about a really nice system in a room and you should be able to discern the qualities of a really nice system in room. in order to do that, you have to hear the qua...

Swiss Options - Piega & Stenheim

Technics SL-1200GAE or VPI HW-40 or …?
Of your two choices I'd choose a third one: Technics SL1200G. Following that, I might spend a bit extra money on upgrading the arm cable (maybe...).
Battle of the Open Baffles
For outstanding OB performance look up -- better still, listen to -- Linkwitz' LX521 S. Linkwitz (RIP) was one of the legendary engineers in the audio sector (think of the Linkwitz-Riley xover, for example)
Revel Salon2s: Seeking Advice
You'd have to listen to the Salons (driven correctly) - all you'll get here is subjective opinion... Here's mine based on previous experience: you'll probably find that the Kanta have more pronounced highs than the Salons (Kanta are designed to b...
Recommendation for speaker cable to use with Magico speakers
If you find them lacking extension in the bass Mogami. Hi - which model do you use? Regards
High End System Building. How important is the matching, cabling and room? Thoughts ?
I think at certain situations a proper room can raise your system levels above where it is at. I agree with you somewhat but there are speakers and pieces that are just built better and sound better Hi @calvinj - with all due respect, the speak...
