spend on the streamer or on the DAC ? @dannadFew posts, but loud and proud. More of what is ruining this site. Not going to waste my time and knowledge with you as your attitude is quite clear. For the record I have been inside a Mojo unit and done extensive work. Carry on....
spend on the streamer or on the DAC ? The Mojo dac is far from crude and you should do your homework before saying such a thing. Ben is a digital expert and builds one of the very best sounding dacs available at any price. Simplicity in design executed brilliantly is a magical audio r...
Mojo Audio Mystique EVO You folks missed the point and this is so important. The reason it doesn’t sound loud is the harmonic coherency…everything is in proper time and tune. Also, the absense of noise. Distortion sounds loud.
Think fast: What would you take? We don’t seem to understand each other. I don’t post political stuff, you do quite often of late. Most of it is name calling. I will leave it at that. This site has gone to the dogs. Best to just opt out.
New sheriff in town: Luxman D-10x Great review. Makes me want one 🤓. Wonder how it compares to my Mojo Audio Evo dac? I love the type of sound Steve was expressing about the d-10x and find the Evo has it also.
Think fast: What would you take? Many readers understand @audition__audio point. Reasonable thoughts.
First Sound MK III preamplifier Tvad is correct. Great sounding preamp with outstanding build quality. The FS design, in large measure, comes from Paul Weitzel of Tube Research Labs. The design is spectacular as Paul was a design wizard! He helped Emmanuel with the overall desig...
Update on Audiogon Member Almarg Al has long been Audiogon’s go to source for answers and an example of how to behave like a gentleman on this or any forum. What a shock. I pray for you Al. I have always had great respect for you Al. I am not sure how to put into words my feelin...
Duelund conversion to DIY Helix Geometry Cabling When building ICs with these KLE Innovation plugs consider the following aids and techniques. - use WBT 4% silver solder. I like the leaded one better. Just wash your hands after and use a fan/filter to keep the smoke away from your nostrils. - ...
Duelund conversion to DIY Helix Geometry Cabling Solder is not the primary conductor if you do this right. The bottom line is the KLEIs sound better. Better sounding connector when soldered properly with very little solder and bare wire to tab direct connection. I have some tips.
What makes a DAC so expensive? We need to stop paying any attention to dj51. Folks like him have ruined this site for good. Very sad Agon reality. Really hard to learn from the community’s combined owner experiences with various products and tweaks because we spend so much time...
Duelund conversion to DIY Helix Geometry Cabling That tab is a great connector and design having made at least 150 sets of ICs with those plugs. The Furutech will look better and feel higher quality, however they will not sound as good. I have done the listening tests. Contact me and I will give...
What makes a DAC so expensive? So in your tidy, small audio world a robust power supply made with amorphous core chokes, Mundorf 4 pole caps, high performance diodes, resistors and the like will not set the stage for much better sound? In addition, a dac’s power supply made wit...
What makes a DAC so expensive? Come on guys some of this is parts cost and quality also. A quality and purpose built chassis that reduces unwanted vibrations costs and takes engineering. Some use $250-$300 chokes from Lundahl and use 5 of them! Some use $15 resistors and $150 c...
New sheriff in town: Luxman D-10x Perfectly understandable. I would use the dac in the CD as you say to stream and play CDs. Still, it must be a tiny remaining US market and it no doubt inflates the price pretty dramatically. If Japan is a big CD player market, then it makes perfe... |
