Best CD Player for 800-1500 Used My Tosh only had the famed "Vinnie mod" and I am sure not as good sounding as the RAM mod. My only concern is spending lots of $$$ on what is a $45 player in terms of longevity. At $45 when it breaks down - get another!Bill
Best CD Player for 800-1500 Used Bluenose is right as I have owned a Tosh with the mod's. Very good for the money. Still found the Ack dac better to my ears.Bill

what speakers for 4k or less new or used I have owned many speakers including Merlin VSM's, Silverline Sonata's, Gallo Nuc Ref 3's, Talon Khorus xII's and many others. Some of these cost up to $10,000 - $18,000 new. However, the speaker I have enjoyed the most is the Usher 6381. Very, ve...
Smaller speaker to replace Khorus in Tact system I owned the Talon Khorus XII's and replaced them with the Usher 6381 speaker. The Usher is more musical to my ear. I gave up nothing , except some bass power, and actually gained in many areas! Dealer discount - $2800 or so.Good luck

Talon Raven C Speakers I am the guy who owned the Bruce Moore and Talons. The Berning is more than enough power. Power will not be an issue. This is just my opinion, but I would not pick that amp to match with the Talon Khorus or Raven speakers. I have also owned the ZH...

I have owned the Belles monoblocks in my system with the Khorus XII's , Opus 21 CD player and Tom Evans Vibe preamp. The bass was over-damped and almost muted. The highs were a little "steely". I now own Parasound JC-1 monoblocks and they easily be... |
