Directional speaker wires, what and why.
Helps the owner hook up the wire in the same direction as they were originally burned in. Don't want to keep reversing direction.....Some cables are twisted in a manner that requires directionality.Other factors such as the way the metal is drawn ...
Capacitor log Mundorf Silver in Oil
Hi TasNo the wire is not directional. Hook it up and go!
seeking compatible amp/ CJ pv10, Vienna Acoustic
I own your speakers in a second system and yes I think you need a SS amp based on this speakers personality for best results. I would go with one of these.....Conrad Johnson 2500a, 2250a make sure it is the "A" version. These are great amps. For t...
Capacitor log Mundorf Silver in Oil
Just an FYI to all. I have ended up with Jupiter Flat Stacked caps in my speaker on the mids and tweeter. After extensive break in they surpassed the Mundorf SIO to my ears. They are more full bodied sounding than the Mundorf and that ultimately w...
Just a bit to bright
Lots of poor to average recordings and that cannot be avoided. The mod with the Jupiter caps will also help those. Yes, play with toe-in as well as sound absorption panels at the first reflection point.

Your speaker uses Dayton caps and resistors....oh yes the mod I mentioned above will do wonders!

I would be happy to help if you need direction. This will impact your system more than wire or an amp change and allow you to keep your speakers. It will not require you to buy, sell and ship gear.

Should I Get a DAC ?
You have the answer as mentioned above. I'm in the exact same situation as you. I have some tinnitus and others do not hear the glare we do. Power cords etc helped a little, but in the end, for a digital front end the EA stuff is a must. I can now...
Should I Get a DAC ?
The poster from what I can gather has acute sensitive to highs and may have tinnitus .... Please let us know?Anyway, any change after the source of the problem will just change it or give a different flavor of the same problem for the poster. The ...
Should I Get a DAC ?
I have been through this and have the exact same issue as the poster with upper mids and highs. If you measured it, you would find the upper mids are also a problem.Wire will change things a little, and new CD player or dac may change or improve t...
Fake RRP on cables. A Joke
No, not all cables are bogus. However this topic is real and important.
Fake RRP on cables. A Joke
I am talking about $500 cables or less.
Fake RRP on cables. A Joke
The poster makes a great point and it applies to cables with an RRP in the hundreds also. This issue is much broader than $10,000 cables.
New Lampizator Level 4/ Version 4 DAC in the house
Interesting. Who knows. I am the ultimate modder and have a passion for looking for places to improve. Many folks would stay away from these sorts of changes for obvious reasons. Many changes hurt and don't help. They sometimes just change things ...
