Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord? You guys should use the new Duelund 600v 12 gauge stranded and tinned wire to do your mods. This wire sounds amazing. I am using it now to build my power cords and they are the best I have heard. Only $10 meter. I will now use it to upgrade my B...
Joule-Electra VAMP Integrated If you ever decide to sell it please contact me. I owned one and liked it a good deal! Nice and warm sounding for sure.
Does anyone care to ask an amplifier designer a technical question? My door is open. @teo_audio actually made some reasoned and reasonable comments. Why attack him and his business here? Seriously, I am reading far to many words stating others are “dumb, morons, snake oil marketers, build poor gear” etc... Goodness it’s time to b...
I like my system flat, no tone controls, no eq..........what is your preference, and why. As @douglas_schroeder said technology is changing the game for me. The advent of outstanding digital room correction and DSP in software such as Roon has given music lovers unbeleavable flexibility and means to make most any recording sound good. ...
Tekton Double Impacts Tom, I also love your tube amplifier from Aric. You guys are causing me to have a bout of tube envy! I have been researching a tube amp build best suited for my Dali Epicon 6 speakers. I don’t need more than some 20- 35 watts as I just don’t play ...
Tekton Double Impacts David, I just finished reading up on your amplifiers. Love the design, parts choice and aesthetics! Makes me want to go out and purchase high efficiency speakers! Nice indeed. Very interesting matching with a SOTA SS preamp. I will read up more on...
Tekton Double Impacts Thanks a bunch!
Tekton Double Impacts Please let us know the preamp. Love to know. Thanks!
Tekton Double Impacts I ride a Trek Domane S6 Disc. I needed a tall head tube and good geometry for my bad lower back and 6ft 4in height. The Trek 62 fits me very well. I am retired so I have time to ride, build cables and mod gear!
Tekton Double Impacts I am over 6000 miles and like you have been layering up for 35 degree rides with wind. However, today the temp is 63 degrees here in the Franklin, TN area! Heading out for a short and fast 20 miler!
Does anyone care to ask an amplifier designer a technical question? My door is open. Thanks for all you do as it is greatly appreciated! As a DIY tube enthusiast I would love to hear your suggestions on a good tube amp kit to build. Looking for at least 20 - 30 watts per channel. Can you point me to a place where such a kit is ava...
Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400. Also the 2170 sounds best using the usb input. If you need more power, then the 2400 is the perfect answer. It does sound good with the 2170. I saw a used one up for sale here yesterday. My comments are only based on my rig, preferences and ro...
Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400. No you dont. Not at all. However the 2400 does sound different. I tried it and like the 2170 more on its own. The 2400 had more bass and control/authority. However I felt I lost a little musicality.
Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord? Yes, the fuse is built into the IEC connector.
Bypass capacitor position? I did not use the silver bypass caps on the tinned copper Duelund caps. I only used them with the CAST. It may not sound good with the tinned copper caps, I just don’t know. I thought you used the original CAST line. |
