AA Capitole MKII/ CD Burner to use with it
Gerryn, try the Mitsui golds - no problem with them (so far) on a Capitole II using a Marantz CDR 500, at least the 74 minute type.
Any owner thoughts on the Belle 350A amp?
Haven't heard the Belles or Sim amps, but have been able to audition the BC8s and Herron 150s with the Herron VTSP-1A, which I also own. First these are both great amps, and in the end the choice is really a matter of personal preferences. To my ea...

Stand alone phono stage?
The Herron VTPH-1MC works great with my Helikon SL and Koetsus. And agree with Marakanetz, the Pass X Ono is a fine ss piece.
Review: Spendor SP-2.3 Speaker
Nice review Tasos1, I think your description captures the essence of the "Classic" pieces of the Spendor line.
Sepakers -vr5's or something along the 4-7k range
KP, the VR5-HSEs sound terrific with the Rogue Magnum M-120s, presuming you're still running the Rogues.

Need advise on Amps to go with Herron VTSP-1A pre
Goose -Blue Circle makes some highly regarded SS stereo amps at various price points. Gilbert Yeung's preamps are tubed like the Heron VTSP, so they should marry well.An interesting option for around $3000 is the Spectron Musician II, a digital am...
Need advise on Amps to go with Herron VTSP-1A pre
The VTSP-1A is a superb pre - congratulations. It really makes a synergistic combo with Keith's M150s - it appears that you have heard it. Does it lack something with the rest of your components? Is so, if you can be specific it would help us help...
Integrated Amp for Girlfriend?
Agree with Sugerbrie, the Blue Circle CS is a nice little unit at a fair price. Been using one with a pair of Spendor S3/5s and very pleased. Lack of a remote minor issue for me.
Teres turntable update.
Nice report Twl, thanks for the update. Sounds like you put together a great rig. Lived in Tokyo in the late '70s - hard to believe the DL103 goes for $150 - I'm not sure but I doubt if we paid any less for them back then, incredible!!
NEW Pre Amp Processor - Narrowing down the list
Given your stated primary interest in 2CH, suggest the Aragon Soundstage. Original list was $4k and have seen them in the classifieds for $1500-$2000. Will provide all you need for HT and the analog pre is essentially their well regarded Aurum. Ca...
Anyone have their Audio Aero Capitole MKII yet?
Interesting that people have such different impressions of the bass. I'm in Lakefrontroad's camp, find it very pronounced perhaps overly so just out of the box. Also find it a bit harsh at the high end compared to my MkI. Running it 24/7 and will ...
Processor ?
You might want to keep your eyes out for an Aragon Soundstage. In addition to giving you the HT support you want, it has an excellant preamp section, essentially Aragon's well regarded Aureum pre, and passes an analog signal untouched by its dacs....
Opera What is the best opera recording?
I'm not an opera buff but do enjoy it from time to time. Happened across this list of "Reference Recordings" - don't know if it helps, or simply stirs new debate:http://www.mrichter.com/opera/files/refs.htmHappy listening.
