@strojo very good to hear. how do you find their imaging capability since they are what audiophiles tend to appreciate - a point source (with power and bass capacity).

Well, with qualified pro monitors you get the truth, For me that's not boring. Be prepared that some of your favourites will not sound as nice as before. But the good ones will sound even better. That includes female voices :-) Generally I don't f...
What will a preamp do for me?
I'm afraid a real change in sound or dynamics demands other speakers. All the others are just adjustments to the existing sound. Thiel is a really fine speaker and I owe them a lot (still got several) but they are not the last word in anything. YMHO.

I believe with the SAM system you are able to increase the listening distance without loosing too much. Also remember that genelec has a lot of other models, also with SAM, for mid- and far-field listening.I'm really interested in the 8341s becaus...

What will a preamp do for me?
Nice recommendation for a Schiit Freya. Will try a such. To get into the tube sound and still be able to switch to a probably more neutral passive volume control. For your sound it may be a good idea to add some room compensation to your system li...
Joseph Audio RM-33LE vs DeVore Gibbon 8, my experience.

How does length affect power cable sound quality?
May it be that some of you take a thread like this a little too seriously?
Is anyone doing this with a Bluesound Node 2 or other streaming component?
Interesting. My hearing stops at 14 khz and unfortunately I seem not being able to register a difference in SQ above cd-quality level (or actually less). But I will try again to A/B-test the analog signal from a bluesound directly to the amp with ...

Is anyone doing this with a Bluesound Node 2 or other streaming component?
In addition to the fine sound (I have yet to hear a true difference between DAC's of good quality - the same naturally for streamers) the bluesound node also have, I think, a nice working subwoofer output, where you can decide if you want the sign...

Tip for a natural recorded live album with very good DR. Mostly acoustic small big band:Bo Kaspers Orkester - 10 låtar live (ten songs live). You might not get the texts but fine and hard to describe music. Is it jazz, is it pop, is it blues, is i...
