Anyone listen to Zu Audio's Definition Mk3?
Well, I made the change and I think I perceive a difference. Seems like the stage is a bit wider and more open with images being a little better defined... maybe I'm imagining it, but I feel like I'm usually a little more emotionally stirred.

Alright... I swapped 'em. The amp is warming up now... I guess I'll see how things sound when my son conks off to bed and I can turn on some tunes.
Anyone listen to Zu Audio's Definition Mk3?
Phil or anyone else,Is it a big deal if I put the drivers in the wrong place with my Nanotechs? I installed a matched pair in each speaker rather than matching the top and bottom drivers. I didn't realize this was wrong until I read the instructio...
Under 1500$ Solid State Amp for Usher Be-718
The Redgum RGi120 enr on eBay right now would be a great piece if the auction stays in your budget. Best damn solid state I've heard.Full disclosure: its mine.
Anyone try Pvane tubes in your Dac or CD player?
I agree with Mrtennis and Jtcf. They sucked in the EE DAC.In fact, the Psvane series seems to suck in general. I do like the Black Treasures, but haven't liked a Psvane to date! Lots of unjustified hype and silly group think.
Best Pre/Amp or Integrated for Zu Essence
Yes, the an211 is much, much better then the Torii. To be honest, I also preferred the entry level Melody MK88 to my Torii 3.The Torii was nice, especially paired with a good active preamp (tough to get this right) but as with many things in this ...
Best Pre/Amp or Integrated for Zu Essence
Revised recommendation. After spending some time with other gear, I don't recommend the Torii as highly. I DO highly recommend the Melody AN211 Phil mentions above and am using it with a pair of Zu Definition speakers myself. The Torii isn't in th...
The most dynamic speaker you've heard...
Khorns were the most dynamic speakers I've experienced. Second most dynamic are my Zu Definition 2 speakers with upgraded nanotech drivers.
Metrum Octave First Impressions
I've had very good results with triode wire lab power cords on the Metrum. I vascillate between preferring the 10+ and the 8+ but mostly leave the ten on.Also fwiw I significantly prefer having it plugged into a Maestro outlet then my costlier Fyr...

Mountain-high,I see you now have two pairs of dc10audio speakers for sale here on audiogon... Methinks some disclosure is in order...
Do I really need a Dac?
I think DACs are generating so much enthusiasm lately because they seem to be the single most rapidly evolving component in high end audio today. Irrespective of the DAC flavor one prefers, its hard to argue with the statement that in a resolving ...
dc10audio Best Sound at RMAF?
Do the dc10s look better in person then pictures? Those traditional/horn hybrid enclosures look terrible in pics.
Anyone listen to Zu Audio's Definition Mk3?
"Initially this appeared to be at the expense of tonal weight, but on further analysis I just wasn't used to the massive speed of these drivers. The old drivers in the 2s sound earthbound on reflection."I had the same concerns at first with the na...

I usually don't pounce on these posts as I was wrongly accused of having an interest in a product once, and it was really obnoxious, but your only three posts here are pimping this company (awkwardly I might add...)Something doesn't smell right.
Sophia vs TJ Full Music
Also, FWIW the Shuguang 274B is a REALLY good sounding rectifier. I greatly prefer it to the 1950s RCA 5u4g I was using before it...
