Luxman D07x
I don’t have a horse in this race only that I’m looking to upgrade my SACD player. Talking with a dealer that carries both the Luxman and Esoteric, he thought the Esoteric K-05xd beat out the more expensive K-03xd and the Luxmans including the D-1...
Herron Audio...Still in business
I have had Herron gear for years (around 2002).  I have only changed to upgrade to the current models.  I have never had any kind of a failure and will keep my 360 reference pre amp and M2 amps for the long haul.
Luxman D-07x
I did a demo of the D-07x.  I was hoping to be able to take the demo unit home over a Sunday and Monday when they were closed to compare it to my Modwright player.  They wanted me to buy one and if I didn't like it I could bring it back in thirty ...
First hand experience (stories about room treatment) needed
I would suggest you treat your first reflection points at least on the side walls and also add diffusion.  Sometimes the venders want you to add a whole bunch of panels but it can lead to over damping the room.  The floor may be your biggest issue...
New Jays Audio flagship cd transport
Someone besides PS Audio needs to come out with a reasonably priced and robust CD/SACD transport that will be flexible enough to use a multitude of DAC's.
Surge Protectors
@ 69zoso69 well I had the Furman ref 15i for many years.  I felt it did a pretty good job, however there was an ever so slight transformer hum if you put your ear near the top of the unit.  I subsequently upgraded to the Puritan PMS 156 which I fe...
Surge Protectors
Do you really want surge protection or just a method to reach your new 20 amp circuit?  The answer may be different.
PS Audio Direct Stream MK2 DAC
My hope is that other companies will come out with a CD/SACD transport.  It may be a long shot, but I just can't pull the trigger on products that seem to have issues after going into full production.  At the price PS audio is charging for their t...
best SACD player
Ok, here's the deal.  I have a Modwright modified Marantz 8005 with all the upgrades.  What can I do better the front end.  I'm not into streaming or computer audio and will only use Cd's and Sacd"s,  Luxman or Esoteric around 10K. or so.  I know ...
Marantz SA-10
@cmach thanks for the circle back!  I still I have my Modwright and will be comparing it to the Luxman D-07x when it is is broken in.  My other thought was a Holo May KTE dac with a PS audio transport, but I'm trying to reduce my "boxes".  The tru...
Puritan PSM 156 connecting Puritan Grounding Products?
Why not use the ground master city.  It just plugs into your outlet and connects to the PMS 156.  It was intended to be used without an outside grounding rod.
Experience with Townshend Seismic Podiums on Concrete Floor (they're great)
You can see the instructions from Townshend for the Podiums on my virtual systems page.
Experience with Townshend Seismic Podiums on Concrete Floor (they're great)
I use the Townshend podiums on a second floor wood constructed floor with carpet.  I tried spikes, no spikes, spikes into a limestone slab and herbies gliders.  The Townshend was the only one that cleaned up the bass and added the benefits of a gr...
Herron VTPH-2 added to system (almost)
I'm sure you will enjoy it.  I have the latest Herron pre amp and mono block amps in my system.  I have been using Keith's electronics for many years.  They never break and sound wonderful.  I won't change them unless I go to an integrated solutio...
Warm and accurate bookshelves that can handle volume
A couple of different directions.  Dynaudio Heritage Special that probably prefers solid state electronics.  Gershman studio II a warmer speaker for those that don't like grating treble.
